LA Knight has identified four wrestlers he believes stand out above the rest in their contributions to the wrestling industry.
In interviews, the question of who holds the title of the greatest wrestler of all time often arises, either as a general query or within specific categories. When asked to name just one, Knight admitted that he’s always had a four-way tie in mind when considering who truly deserves the top spot.
During an appearance on Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast, the United States Champion was asked for his thoughts on the greatest wrestler of all time. Though he acknowledged that two of the names have faced controversy outside of wrestling, Knight firmly believes their in-ring legacies warrant their inclusion on his list:
“I can’t choose just one. For me, it’s always been four—four who are tied. That’s Austin, Rock, Hogan, and Flair. Let go of all the personal stuff outside the ring, because I don’t agree with a lot of what the latter two have done in their personal lives. But as professionals and performers in this business, Austin, Rock, Flair, and Hogan are 100% the top, no question.”
Knight is set to defend his United States Championship against Andrade on the September 20th episode of SmackDown.
Reflecting on his United States title victory, Knight has continued his reign after defeating Logan Paul at SummerSlam to win his first title on the main roster. In a previous interview, Knight discussed why SummerSlam was the perfect moment for him to finally claim championship gold.
