    He played for the Syracuse Nationals, the Baltimore Bullets, the Tri-Cities Blackhawks, and the Fort Wayne Pistons throughout the course of his three seasons in the National Basketball Association.

    During his junior year at DeMatha he had a season in which he averaged 17.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. On the other hand, during his senior year he made a huge improvement by increasing his averages to 23.1 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists from the previous year.

    In the year 2007 he was chosen to take part in both the Jordan Brand Classic and the McDonald’s All-American Game. Both of these competitive events are held annually. The college basketball program at Georgetown University was one of the activities that he took part in when he was there.

He is a professional basketball player from the United States who now plays for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is also known by other nicknames including Uncle Jeff. As of the year 2023 he had spent 15 seasons playing for 11 different NBA teams.

    During his time as a college basketball player Green was a forward for the Georgetown Hoyas where he spent three seasons. Following his participation in the NBA draft in 2007 the Boston Celtics selected him with the fifth overall pick. Following the conclusion of his first season in the NBA in 2008. Green was selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team.

    Green was able to restart his football career after undergoing open-heart surgery in 2012 which was successful. The Denver Nuggets were the team that Green played for in 2023 and they won their first NBA championship that year.
