    Seth “Freakin” Rollins return

The show kicked off with Monday Night Rollins. The Visionary made a shocking return. Seth talked about getting back on top by capturing the World Heavyweight Championship. He discussed the possibility of winning the MITB briefcase. Damian Priest interfered. The World Heavyweight Champion welcomed Seth back on Raw. Drew told Rollins that it’s not Monday Night Rollins anymore. Instead, it’s a show where all rise for El Campeon.

Seth Rollins said that he and Priest have a lot in common. They both grew in groups. Priest made his name in the Judgment Day, while Seth made his name in the greatest group, The Shield. Rollins pointed out one thing they don’t have in common. Seth wanted to make a legacy of being the best of all time. He asked Priest if he wanted to be great or be a footnote in Judgment Day.

Priest told Rollins that things had changed, and he was the champion right now. Damian gave Rollins an opportunity for the World Heavyweight Title at Money in the Bank. Rollins asked if it was a trap, but Priest denied it, so Seth accepted the challenge.

    Grades: B+

Analysis: It’s surprising to see Seth Rollins back on Raw. There were reports that he won’t be on TV soon. Our first match is officially set for the Money in the Bank PLE.

Backstage: Chad Gable and Alpha Academy approached Adam Pearce. Gable wanted another shot at the IC Title. Pearce told him that he had had enough opportunities. Adam told him to get in line. Gable wasn’t happy. Pearce told him that he had an opponent in mind.

    Chad Gable vs Braun Strowman

Gable attempted a German Suplex, but Strowman laid him out with a big boot. Strowman told Alpha Academy that Gable is a bully. Gable applied an armbar on the top rope. Braun landed a couple of shoulder tackles. At ringside, Strowman went for Strowman Express. Gable held Tozawa in front of him to prevent it. Back in the ring, Braun hit a powerslam for the victory.

Gable called Alpha Academy in the ring. He threw away the crutches of Maxxine, and she hobbled out of the ring. Chad then slapped and shoved Tozawa. Otis had had enough and laid out Master Gable with a shoulder tackle. Otis left with Tozawa and Maxxine.

    Winner: Braun Strowman

    Grades: B

Analysis: The post-match angle was much more fun than the actual match. Otis wasn’t fully snapped on Gable, which was interesting. Gable will be involved with them for a few weeks now.

Judgment Day’s Clubhouse: Priest asked Balor about the hotel room key. Finn said that he grabbed the key to protect Dom. Balor said he’d be the next Mr. Money in the Bank and cash in on Cody Rhodes. Dom’s purple vest was missing.

Iyo Sky vs Zelina Vega vs Kiana James (MITB Qualifier)

The first qualifier came from the women’s MITB match. The briefcases were hanging above the ring. Iyo wildly ran onto Vega. James pulled her off and slapped her. Zelina took out James with a hurricanrana. Iyo landed a running dropkick on Vega. Sky sent James to the floor and landed an Asai Moonsault. Zelina hit a Meteora on Sky off the apron. Iyo and Zelina hit a double-team suplex on Kiana.

Sky delivered a double underhook backbreaker to Vega. Kiana hit a powerbomb on Vega, but Sky broke up the pinfall. Vega hit a hurricanrana on James and a kick to Sky. The Genius of the Sky landed a missile dropkick on Vega, but Zelina replied with a Code Red for a near fall. Zelina landed a jawbreaker on James. Liv Morgan walked down the ring in Dominik’s vest. Vega was distracted and suffered a codebreaker from James. Sky hit James with a double knee strike and an Over the Moonsault for the win.

    Winner: Iyo Sky

    Grades: B-

Analysis: Rightfully so, Iyo Sky earned the victory. She can add much more to the ladder match. James feels a bit sloppy at times and needs to work on herself.

    Sami Zayn addressed his future

Sami Zayn talked about how the personal story between him and Chad Gable is over. Now, Zayn would have to look forward, and Alpha Academy’s Otis, Tozawa, and Maxxine would have to solve their issues on their own. Bron Breakker interrupted the Intercontinental Champion. Breakker told him he had left a list of bodies, and Zayn was next. Breakker said that he’s getting the IC Title soon. Zayn held the IC Title high in the air.

Sheamus came out to a loud crowd ovation. Sheamus told Zayn that he had chased the IC Title for so long and put on banger after banger. The Celtic Warrior said that Zayn should consider him if he’s looking for his next opponent. Breakker said that nobody cares about Sheamus’ achievements. He dared Sheamus to get in his way. Sheamus called Breakker a kid and told him to get in line for the opportunity at the title.

Sami said that he’ll talk to Adam Pearce to give the crowd a fight. The crowd roared as Breakker and Sheamus stared down each other.

    Grades: B+

Analysis: A fantastic segment. We wouldn’t mind a three-way feud for the IC Championship. Either way, Zayn will be getting a major opponent at MITB in his home country, Canada.

    Dragon Lee vs Carlito

LWO and Judgment Day were at ringside for this. Lee landed a head-scissors takeover and a dropkick for a two-count. Dragon went for a plancha to the outside, but Carlito caught him and slammed him into the ring post. Carlito taunted Rey Mysterio at ringside. Lee fought back with a jumping hurricanrana off the apron to the outside. Lee landed a splash for a near fall. Dragon hit a German Suplex, but Carlito replied with a TKO.

Carlito landed a back body drop. Lee fought back with a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. Liv Morgan reached ringside in Dom’s vest. She approached Dominik, but Zelina Vega attacked from behind. The distractions allowed Carlito to hit a Backstabber for the win.

    Winner: Carlito

    Grades: B

Analysis: A fun action battle. Carlito looked as agile as Lee. Liv and Dom’s act at ringside was the highlight of the match. Vega and Morgan have problems.

Backstage: Chad Gable questioned Otis, Tozawa, and Maxxine about their actions. Otis packed his bag and told Gable that they were done with him.

    Drew McIntyre quit

After his loss at Clash at the Castle 2024, Drew McIntyre angrily walked down the ramp and entered the ring. McIntyre grabbed the microphone. A loud “CM Punk” chant picked up. Drew said that he couldn’t do it anymore, and he quit. Pearce came to talk to his top star, but McIntyre told him he was serious.

Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane vs Kayden Carter and Katana Chance

Carter landed a splash on Kai with some help from Chance. Kai hit a stomp and tagged in her partner. Sane landed an In-Sane Elbow for a near fall. Lyra caused a distraction, and Carter delivered a DDT to Kairi. Kai suffered an After Party for the win.

Winner: Kayden Carter and Katana Chance

    Grades: C

Analysis: This match felt like a filler on the show. It just served to increase the tensions between Damage CTRL and Lyra Valkyria.

    Sheamus vs Bron Breakker

Sami Zayn was at ringside for this match. After minutes of takeovers and headlocks, Breakker landed a clothesline at a quick pace. Sheamus hit an Irish Curse Backbreaker and a rolling senton bomb. Breakker slammed Sheamus on the mat and hit a knee strike to knock him off the apron. Bron landed a diving clothesline to send Sheamus over the commentary table. Back in the ring, Breakker hit a gutbuster for a near fall.

Sheamus came back with a hammer throw and a clothesline. Sheamus delivered a swinging side slam for a two-count. Breakker went for a Frankensteiner on the top rope, but he slipped and fell with Sheamus dropping on him. The Celtic Warrior hit White Noise for a two-count. Breakker went for a Spear, but Sheamus replied with a knee strike.

Bron rolled to the apron. Sheamus grabbed him and hit 10 Beats of the Bodhran. As Sheamus prepared for Brogue Kick, Kaizer interrupted and attacked Sheamus. The match ended in disqualification. Sheamus took out Kaiser, but Breakker speared Sheamus on the floor. Kaiser wanted to take advantage by targeting Sheamus’ knee. Breakker hit a Spear on Kaiser. Breakker and Sami went face-to-face, and Bron shoved Zayn before the officials separated them.

    Winner: Sheamus by DQ.

    Grades: B

Analysis: Wow! It’s an excellent segment for the mix around the IC Championship. The three-way story has a 4th name, Ludwig Kaiser.

Backstage: Dominik wanted his vest back from Liv Morgan. The WWE Women’s Champion told him to take it off her. Dom started to unzip the vest. Damian Priest arrived and questioned Dom. Priest told him to get his things and go back to the clubhouse. Damian told Liv to stay away from Dom as he had nothing to do with her. Liv said that Dom had everything to do with her and walked away.

Rey Mysterio vs Jey Uso vs Finn Balor (MITB Qualifier)

Finn wisely rolled out of the ring to let Rey and Jey fight. Uso hit Rey with a shoulder tackle, but Mysterio replied with a head-scissors takeover. Jey landed a baseball slide on Balor. Balor and Uso fought at ringside while Mysterio landed a plancha on Balor. Balor dominated for a while as he sent Uso out of the ring and hit a basement dropkick on Mysterio. Uso bounced back with punches and a superkick. Rey hit Balor with a seated senton and a springboard crossbody block for a near fall.

Rey put Balor in the 619 position, but Finn replied with a clothesline. Uso hit Balor with an enzuigiri. Finn responded with a Pele Kick. Mysterio hit Balor with a super hurricanrana off the top. Uso caught Rey in a Spear for a two-count. Mysterio sent Balor to the outside and hit a baseball sliding splash. Rey hit Balor and Uso with 619 separately before hitting a double 619.

Dominik interrupted the match. Rey hit him with a seated senton. Carlito and McDonagh attacked Rey. Strowman came out to even the odds and chased Judgment Day. In the ring, Uso landed a superkick. Balor returned with a Slingblade. Balor landed a Coup de Grace on Rey. Uso broke up the pinfall with a Uso splash and won the match.

    Winner: Jey Uso

    Grades: B+

Analysis: Jey Uso is the first man to qualify for the MITB ladder match. It was an incredible match. The YEET-Master celebrated until we had a surprise on the show.

    Uncle Howdy is back

As Jey Uso was celebrating, the music cut off, and we saw a special Bray Wyatt gate on the entrance ramp. The fireflies were out. A character crawled through the door out of the smoke. It was a girl behind a mask. She pointed backward. A figure was backstage in a mask. Another person was there, filled with blood.

Braun Strowman was lying unconscious. One of the figures was sitting calmly there. Chad Gable was lying bleeding from the head. There was a guy in a gas mask. Finally, we saw Uncle Howdy standing there. Howdy walked into the arena surrounded by creepy creatures. He took the lantern and said, “We are here,” before blowing out the lantern.

    Grades: A

Analysis: What an outstanding debut for Uncle Howdy and his faction. Bray Wyatt would be happy with the creativity shown by WWE. They presented it massively. Uncle Howdy’s return was highly inspired by Bray Wyatt’s return at Extreme Rules 2022.

    Final Word

An amazing show. The final segment was the highlight and will be remembered for years. We haven’t seen WWE going this much deep into creativity for a debut. Besides that, Iyo Sky and Jey Uso have qualified for the Money in the Bank matches. The mix around the IC Championship is interesting as well. Did you enjoy WWE RAW Results June 17?
