    LaMelo Ball was born on August 22, 2001, in Anaheim, California. It was his father, LaVar Ball, who first introduced him to the sport of basketball. He grew up in a family that was quite active. Ball received his high school education at Chino Hills High School, located in Chino Hills, California.

    During his time there, he distinguished himself as a player and guided his team to a state championship. He has a height of exactly 6 feet 7 inches (201 cm) and a weight of exactly 180 pounds (82 kg). Before being selected in the NBA draft, Ball had professional careers in both Lithuania and Australia to his name.

    In 2020, the Charlotte Hornets selected Ball with the third overall pick in the draft. He immediately established himself as a skilled playmaker and a vital player to the success of the Hornets, and in 2021, he was awarded the title of NBA Rookie of the Year.

    Although he is known for his excellent court vision, passing skills, and scoring power, Ball has since established himself as a consistent scorer and assist leader in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

    He played college basketball for one season at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he was coached by Steve Alford. Ball has attended the University of California, Los Angeles.

    In 2017, the Los Angeles Lakers selected Ball with the second overall pick in the draft. In 2018, he was selected to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team after swiftly establishing himself as a gifted player and a significant contributor to the success of the Lakers.

    Although he is known for his remarkable court vision, passing skills, and shooting range, Ball has since established himself as a consistent scorer and assist leader in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
