WrestleMania is the biggest WWE show of the year. It is often regarded as the Superbowl of wrestling. Dubbed “The Showcase of Immortals”, “The Show of Shows”, and “The Grandest Stage of Them All”, it lives up to the hype every year and gives WWE fans a spectacle to witness.
WrestleMania has been happening annually for the past four decades, starting in 1985. In these 40 editions of WrestleMania, WWE has created some unforgettable matches and moments. Let’s gear up for Best WWE Pay Per View Series, starting with Top 10 WrestleMania of all time.
1. WrestleMania XL – 2024

WrestleMania XL or WrestleMania 40 is the greatest WrestleMania of all time for most of the fans and critics around the globe. WWE delivered a memorable two-night event. The main event of Night One was the biggest tag team match in history, where Roman Reigns and The Rock teamed against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. The show was booked perfectly from start to end.
Sami Zayn broke Gunther’s longest IC Title reign. Drew McIntyre got his moment in front of fans when he defeated Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship, only to be cashed in on by Damian Priest moments later. In the main event of Night Two, Cody Rhodes conquered Roman Reigns and ended The Tribal Chief’s 1316-days Undisputed Title reign. The Usos, Solo Sikoa, The Rock, John Cena, and The Undertaker were all part of this historical moment.
This is regarded as the greatest WrestleMania main event of all time. The wait is almost over for WrestleMania 41 as well. Check out early match card predictions for WrestleMania 41.
2. WrestleMania X-Seven – 2001

Next up on the list is the WrestleMania X-Seven or WrestleMania 17. Many believe this to be a competitor for the top spot against WrestleMania XL. It catered all kinds of fans in that era and Attitude Era peaked that night. A perfect blend of storytelling and in-ring action made it an awesome show. Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon collided in an intense Street Fight that exceeded all expectations.
The Undertaker continued his streak against Triple H. Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit delivered an instant classic. The pinnacle of tag team division occurred with The Dudley Boyz, The Hardy Boyz, and Edge and Christian leaving it all out in a grueling TLC match which will be forever iconic. After the most exciting build, The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin put on a show in the main event where Austin captured the WWE Championship after an unexpected heel turn.
3. WrestleMania XIX – 2003

WrestleMania 19 was the first WrestleMania to be promoted under the WWE moniker, as they transitioned from WWF to WWE. The show was stacked with top stars putting on high quality in-ring action. We witnessed the third and final match in the iconic Rock vs Austin rivalry. The Rock defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Texas Rattlesnake retired (he came back later for a main event match against Kevin Owens, 19 years later at WrestleMania 38).
Triple H battled the underdog Booker T. The Undertaker remained undefeated in a handicap match against Big Show and A-Train. Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan collided in a Street Fight, which was billed as “20 Years in the making”. Mr. WrestleMania Shawn Michaels returned to the Grandest Stage of Them All after four years and seized a win against Chris Jericho.
In the main event, Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle delivered a classic match. It was the match where Brock Lesnar infamously botched the Shooting Star Press. However, that didn’t take anything from the greatness of this epic showdown.
4. WrestleMania XXX – 2014

WrestleMania 30, or WrestleMania XXX, was another epic night in the history of WWE. We should probably call it YEStleMania as Daniel Bryan reached the top of WWE. Bryan defeated Triple H in the opening match and conquered Batista and Randy Orton in the main event to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. WWE made a new star that day and a memory that will go down as one of the best in the history of this industry.
Another highlight of the night came when Brock Lesnar did the unimaginable and broke Undertaker’s WrestleMania undefeated streak. The Rock, Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan shared a legendary moment in the ring. Bray Wyatt faced the poster boy John Cena.
5. WrestleMania 39 – 2023

WrestleMania 39 was the first WrestleMania booked under Triple H’s regime. The Game organized a stacked match card for both nights of the grandest stage of them all. The highlights of the Night One was a tag team classic where Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens ended The Usos’ longest reigning title reign. Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio battled in an epic father-son showdown.
On Night Two, Gunther, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre gave a triple threat 5-star classic for the IC Championship. Finn Balor brought back The Demon to collide with Edge in a grueling Hell in a Cell encounter. In the main event, Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes faced Roman Reigns in a failed attempt to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship.
6. WrestleMania 28 – 2012

The Rock brought back the electricity to WrestleMania when he clashed John Cena in one of the biggest WrestleMania main events of all time. The Great One defeated WWE’s top star John Cena and the show has a record of most copies sold ever for a WWE show. In the opener, Sheamus captured the World Heavyweight Title from Daniel Bryan in 18 seconds. CM Punk successfully defended the WWE Championship against Chris Jericho.
Regardless of The Rock and Cena, the major highlight of the night for many fans will be the Hell in a Cell match between The Undertaker and Triple H, with Shawn Michaels as the special guest referee. It was billed as the End of an Era, and it really was. These three legends shared an emotional moment after the match, and the fans have loved the showdown to date.
7. WrestleMania III – 1987

Even though it was the third edition, WrestleMania III presented Vince McMahon’s true vision of revolutionizing the industry. It provided proper in-ring action rather than heavy celebrity involvement. The Dragon Ricky Steamboat and Macho Man Randy Savage delivered a banger match, which was a sight to behold at the time.
In the main event, Vince brought together the only two biggest wrestlers on the planet, Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant. This was a huge success for both the business and the creativity in the industry.
8. WrestleMania X – 1994

WrestleMania X was a revolutionary period in WWE. It was the first ever WrestleMania without Hulk Hogan. Bret Hart was the star of the night and established himself as the new face of the company. Losing to his brother Owen Heart in the opener, Bret conquered a dominant Yokozuna in the main event to capture the WWE Championship.
Other than that, Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels tore the house down in a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. This match really helped in bringing attention to the mid-card championships. All the above-mentioned stars made a name for themselves that night and represented WWE in the upcoming years.
9. WrestleMania 31 – 2015

WrestleMania 31 was an outdoor stadium show. The show kicked off with an outstanding IC Title ladder match with stars like Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler and others. Randy Orton defeated Seth Rollins while John Cena won the US Title from Rusev to start his legendry reign. Triple H and Sting battled for the first time in a clash that brought fans back to the Monday Night Wars era.
After winning the Royal Rumble 2015, Roman Reigns challenged Brock Lesnar for the WWE Title. In a shocking turn of events, Seth Rollins cashed in the Money in the Bank to walk out from the Showcase of Immortals as world champion.
10. WrestleMania XX – 2004

WWE tries to erase WrestleMania XX from the history books due to Chris Benoit’s controversial situation, however that would take nothing from the greatness of the show itself. John Cena made his WrestleMania debut where he defeated Big Show for the US Championship. The Undertaker brought back the Deadman persona to face Kane. Eddie Guererro captured the WWE Title from Kurt Angle.
Chris Benoit won the World Heavyweight Championship in a triple threat against Shawn Michaels and Triple H. In the main event, Goldberg and Brock Lesnar collided in a singles bout with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the special guest referee. After the match, both Lesnar and Goldberg left WWE for several years to come.
