Ryan Rickleton
Ryan Rickleton represents MI Cape Town in the SA20 league. The South African batter is the highest runscorer of the SA20 league. He started the tournament with 87 against Durban Super Giants, but since then, he hasn’t looked back. He scored 530 runs in 10 innings with an average of 58.89. Rickleton’s strike rate in SA20 2024 was 173.77. His highest score is 98 runs against Joburg Super Kings. Rickleton also has the most fifties, which is five half-centuries in the tournament.
The top-best batsman of SA20 2024 couldn’t help his team qualify for the playoffs, but looking back at his performance, he must be proud of himself.
Heinrich Klaasen
Heinrich Klaasen is in great form since CWC2023. The batters rank at 2 of 5 best batsmen of SA20 2024. He represents Durban Super Giants in SA20. Klaasen proved himself a destructive batter in the middle order. He scored 447 runs in 13 innings with an average of 40.64. His strike rate in the tournament was 207.91. Klaasen was a nightmare for the spinners as most of his big-hitting was suffered by spinners. He scored four half-centuries with 41 fours and 34 sixes. The great batting of Klaasen in playoffs against JSK was his performance of the tournament. His 74 runs knock secured DSG’s place in the finals.
Matthew Breetzke
Mathew Breetzke is the 3rd highest runscorer of SA20 2024. He played the SA20 2024 season for Durban Super Giants as an opener. The 25-year-old found his rhythm as he scored 416 runs with two fifties in 13 innings at a healthy strike rate of 135.50. While his partner, Quinton de Kock, struggled in batting, he showed an innate ability to release pressure throughout the SA20 season 2024. Breetzke has 40 fours and 22 sixes.
Jos Buttler
T20 World Cup 2022 winner and experienced English batter, Jos Buttler ranks at 4 of 5 best batsmen of SA20 2024. He scored 408 runs in 11 innings representing Paarl Royals in SA20 season 02. Buttler was particularly impressive at Boland Park, where he posted scores of 70* (his highest score of the tournament against Joburg Super Kings), 54, 45, and 64. His strike rate was 135.50. Three fifties are under his name, with 44 fours and 14 sixes in the tournament.
Leus Du Plooy
While the batting lineup of Joburg Super Giants lacked consistency in SA20 2024, the English batter, Leus du Plooy, didn’t. He finished the tournament being the highest run scorer of JBG and the 5 best batsman of SA20 2024. Du Plooy scored 377 runs in 11 innings with an average of 37.70 with a strike rate of 150.07. His highest score is 71 against Paarl Royals.
