WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2023 Results, Grades, and Analysis

WWE went live from Allstate Arena in Chicago for the Survivor Series premium live event with a WarGames theme. Two WarGames matches were on the show, and Randy Orton returned to the company after almost 1.5 years. Gunther’s IC Title was on the line against The Miz. Let’s discuss everything that happened on the show and recap WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2023 Results, Grades, and Analysis.

Women’s WarGames match

The show kicked off with the Women’s War Games match. The participants were Damage CTRL (Bayley, Iyo Sky, Kairi Sane, and Asuka) against Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Shotzi. Becky and Bayley started the match. Dakota interfered with a Kendo stick through the cage to give Bayley an early advantage. Shotzi then entered. Shotzi brought several chairs and a trash can to the ring. The babyfaces dominated on Bayley. Iyo Sky was the next woman in, and she brought a chain to attack her opponents. Sky and Bayley took out Lynch with a Tandem Superplex. Bianca joined next and used her braids as a weapon.

Kairi entered from Damage CTRL, and then Charlotte was the final entrant from the face team. Finally, Asuka entered, and the match officially began. Iyo Sky dove off the top of the cage with a trash can over her head. Asuka brought lendo sticks, a fire extinguisher, and a table to the ring. Asuka misted Shotzi. Flair took out all four opponents with a moonsault from the top of the cage. Lynch and Flair hugged in the ring. Belair used the fire extinguisher on Asuka, who missed the mist. Bayley took a spear for Kairi. Becky delivered a brutal Manhandle Slam on Bayley from the second rope through the table for the win.

Winners: Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Shotzi, and Charlotte Flair

Grades: A-

Analysis: It was a solid match to kick off things in Chicago. Bayley gave an impressive performance. Some will criticize the result as the new Damage CTRL needed the win. However, WWE made Bayley eat the pin to further the tensions between Damage and CTRL. It was the first positive step in the WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2023 Results to write for.

Gunther vs The Miz

Gunther defended his Intercontinental Championship against The Miz. The A-Lister dominated early on, which is a rare sight if you see Gunther’s matches. Miz applied a beautiful Figure-Four leg lock around the ring post. Gunther bounced back with a brutal kick followed by chops and a German Suplex. Miz pulled up a great trick and removed the pad from the turnbuckle. It distracted the referee. The Miz took advantage of the distraction and delivered two low blows and a Skull Crushing Finale, resulting in a close two-count. Gunther applied the sleeper. The Ring General hit a splash from the top rope and then applied a Boston Crab for the win.

Winner: Gunther

Grades: B+

Analysis: The result of the match was obvious as we predicted in WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2023 Predictions. However, The Miz’s wrestling abilities were on full display, and he showcased a solid performance. But, we have to encourage the intensity of the bout by both competitors before moving further to WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2023 Results.

Santos Escobar vs Dragon Lee

Escobar beat Lee up in the early minutes of the match. He tried to injure Lee just like he did to Rey Mysterio. However, Lee survived. The highflyer delivered a hurricane from the apron to the outside, followed by a dive. Escobar delivered his hurricanrana for a nearfall. In the end, a Phantom Driver secured the victory for Santos.

Winner: Santos Escobar

Grades: B

Analysis: It was a short, fun match. The two superstars can deliver an outstanding match if given proper time. Escobar got the victory, which was a great decision. WWE developed the storyline for a future WrestleMania match and changed the opponent otherwise, we might write other things in our WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2023 Results.

Rhea Ripley vs Zoey Stark

Next up was the match for the Women’s World Title. It started in a brawl. Ripley got the best of Stark early on. Mami dominated with her power moves and kicks. Stark came to life with a kick to the champ. She countered a Riptide into a suplex for a near fall. As Stark went for Z-360, Rhea countered with a headbutt and a Riptide for the win.

Winner: Rhea Ripley

Grades: B-

Analysis: A small disappointment from this match to write in the WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2023 Results. It was an obvious result, as there was no chance Ripley would lose the Title to Zoey Stark. Mami is ready for her next opponent.

Men’s WarGames Match

The main event of the night was the Men’s WarGames match. The two teams included The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh) and Drew McIntyre against Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, and Randy Orton. During the show, it was mentioned several times that Orton has yet to enter the arena. The match also started with no Orton, but the Return of Randy Orton was imminent. Balor and Rollins started for their teams. Rollins delivered a Superkick. Balor reversed a pedigree into a back body drop onto the steel between the rings.

JD McDonagh joined and brought a kendo stick. Balor and McDonagh dominated the World Heavyweight Champion for some time. Jey Uso balanced things as he entered with a steel chair. McIntyre wanted to go next to take out Jey, but Priest told him to stick to the plan, and Damian entered the match. Sami Zayn entered next and used a kendo stick and a steel pipe to his advantage. He also introduced a table to the match. McIntyre entered and took out Rollins.

Uso and McIntyre clashed, with Drew slamming Jey into the cage several times, delivering a neckbreaker, and Uso coming out with a Superkick. Zayn and Uso delivered a 1-D on Drew. Cody Rhodes joined and brought along a bull rope. Rollins and Cody used that to take out their opponents. Seth yelled at Rhodes, asking if Randy would show up. Dominik Mysterio was the next man in. He tried three Amigos but got attacked. Priest and McIntyre choke-slammed three men at a time. Priest sent Rollins through a table with a Razor’s Edge.

It was time for Randy to appear. Rhea Ripley came out with the briefcase. We heard the Voices, and Randy Orton appeared. He delivered a scoop slam on Dom and a draped DDT on Balor. Later in the match, Orton led his teammates in delivering Randy’s signature DDT. Orton and Uso had a brief staredown. Orton delivered an RKO on Dom. Seth and Sami sent McDonagh flying from the top of the cage into an RKO from Orton. WoW! Rhodes got the win for his team with Cross Rhodes.

Winners: Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, and Jey Uso.

Grades: A

Analysis: The match lacked a bit of doing insane things, as we saw in the Women’s match. This was more based on storytelling. Randy is back and has another wildest RKO to his name to illuminate WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2023 Results.

CM Punk is Back

After the match, Punk’s music hit, and he arrived on the stage. The crowd lost their seats. The show went off the air. CM Returned to WWE as we predicted in our previous article. WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2023 Results in one of the best endings.

That was the show. It was a great place. A lot has changed for WWE’s future now. CM Punk and Randy Orton are back. Let us know whether you enjoy WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2023 Results, winners, and grades.
