WWE presented the WWE Backlash 2024 premium live event from LDLC Arena in Lyon, France, on May 04. The card was short, and the show featured only five matches. However, four of them were title matches, which made things exciting. The champions crowned at WrestleMania XL defended their championships. Let’s discuss everything as we delve into WWE Backlash 2024 Results, Grades, and Analysis.

KO landed a splash from the barricade onto Tonga. Orton slammed Tama back first into the commentary tables. Kevin hit a DDT on Sikoa on the steel steps. Orton and Owens used trash can lids and kendo sticks.

Analysis: The crowd was awesome. They sang along with Orton’s theme song. Adding the Street Fight stipulation was crazy. The Bloodline story just keeps on unfolding new layers. It was a decent match to show how ruthless the Solo and Tonga brothers can be. The future is bright for the Bloodline. Where do Randy and KO go after this feud? WWE should find an answer soon.

Winner: Damian Priest
Grades: B-
Analysis: Damian Priest wasn’t expected to lose either, but Jey Uso put on a brilliant display of effort. The tensions among the Judgment Day members keep increasing, and it looks like they are on the verge of a potential breakup.
The Kabuki Warriors vs Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill
The Women’s tag team titles match was placed on the card just before the main event of WWE Backlash 2024. Bianca soon got to her element in the match when she delivered a suplex to Asuka. Analysis: The match was more entertaining than expected. Bianca and Jade are your new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. It looks like they will be the team needed to raise the prestige of these championships, as Kabuki Warriors did nothing new in the past few months. WWE is trying to build Jade around Belair, which is not a bad thing at all.

Winner: Cody Rhodes
Grades: A
Analysis: It was a great main-event match for WWE Backlash 2024. It was obvious that Cody wouldn’t lose in his first title defense. However, AJ Styles showed everyone he is a certified main eventer and has been underutilized for several years. The Crowd performed even better than both superstars as they cheered every move. AJ Styles is a proven performer of the Indy Scenes, seen all over France. And Cody is a super babyface these days. So, WWE gave a brilliant main event in France.
Final Note
Overall, the show delivered more than the expectations. The quality of the matches was great. The crowd put on an amazing performance and was no doubt one of the best crowds ever. Let us know in the comment section what you like in our WWE Backlash 2024 Results, Grades, and Reaction.
