You can expect a great PLE, as WWE has recently delivered excellent work on their international shows. Let’s discuss the WWE Backlash 2024 Predictions, Match Card, and Winner Predictions.
WWE Backlash 2024 Match Card
- Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles (Undisputed WWE Universal Championship)
- Bayley vs. Naomi vs. Tiffany Stratton (WWE Women’s Championship)
- Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga vs. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens
- Damian Priest vs. Jey Uso (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)
- The Kabuki Warriors vs. Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair (WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships)
WWE Backlash 2024 Predictions
WWE has failed to create enormous hype for the Backlash event. This may be due to the absence of several top names, including Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Rhea Ripley. Let’s preview all the matches and tell you WWE Backlash 2024 Predictions.
Damian Priest vs Jey Uso
Damian Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania XL Night 2 to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He will face Jey Uso in his first defense at WWE Backlash 2024. To earn this opportunity, Uso won a fatal 4-way match on Monday Night Raw. Picking up a winner is looking very easy for this bout. There is no chance of Damian Priest losing the title here. The direction for Jey Uso will likely be a return to The Bloodline saga sooner rather than later.
Winner Prediction: Damian Priest will retain
The Kabuki Warriors vs Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair will be in action together when they challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at Backlash. Asuka and Kairi Sane have been the champions for months now. Their title reign has lost any hype. Also, the reign lacked any exciting stuff. Cargill and Belair will be capturing the championships at Backlash. It will be a fresh move and may prove to be the one required to raise the prestige of the Women’s Tag Team Championships. The eventual thing will be a bout between Belair and Cargill, but a stint with these championships will be worth watching.
Winner Prediction: Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair
Randy Orton and Kevin Owens vs Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga
The new Bloodline, Solo Sikoa, and Tama Tonga will face Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. Orton saved Owens from The Bloodline’s attack, which led to this match. It is a perfect debut match for Tama Tonga as he will get an opportunity to showcase his skills against one of the best in Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. According to our take, there will be a surprise in this match. Jacob Fatu will finally make his WWE debut, costing Orton and Owens.
Winner Prediction: Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga
Bayley vs Naomi vs Tiffany Stratton
In her first premium live event title defense, Bayley will defend the WWE Women’s Championship in a triple threat match against Naomi and Tiffany Stratton at WWE Backlash 2024 in France. The chances of Bayley losing the title are very low. However, the finish of the match will be interesting to watch. Nia Jax has been involved in the mix, too, as we saw last week on Friday Night SmackDown. Whether she interferes in the match, Bayley will successfully retain her Title.
Winner Prediction: Bayley retains.
Cody Rhodes vs AJ Styles
AJ Styles will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. It will possibly be the main event of the Backlash premium live event. The fact that Styles had previously faced Cody’s father, Dusty Rhodes, in a match in TNA makes this a fantastic matchup. A classic match is expected from these two. Our pick for the winner will be Cody Rhodes.
He won the title from Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. Cody can’t have a justified short reign after beating Roman Reigns. It is a good thing for Styles, as he’s back in the main title scenario after a long time. But his efforts will only end in losing cause at WWE Backlash 2024.
Winner Prediction: Cody Rhodes
