He expresses his desire to win the crown, not just for a title shot but for redemption after losing in the finals last year.
Cody responds by reminding Randy of their shared history. He recalls a moment from his first night in WWE when Randy slapped his father. Cody acknowledges that Randy thinks he needs to win the crown, but he insists that he needs it more. He emphasizes the importance of this moment for him.
In the end, Cody declares that he will become King of the Ring. He believes that despite Randy’s reputation, he will not win this time. Cody is determined to take the crown for himself and prove his worth in the ring.
Grade B
Analysis
It was an ordinary promo where both wrestlers claimed to be the winner of the King of the Ring tournament at the Night of Champions 2025. However, It was good to hype up the Saudi Arabian crowd for this historic match.

Solo Sikoa is backstage with JC Mateo, discussing their plan for Jacob Fatu. Solo wants to give Jacob one last chance to join them. He reminds JC that Jacob knows what it’s like to be alone. Tonight, JC will face Jim Uso, and tomorrow, he will deal with Jacob.
Jimmy Uso vs JC Mateo

In the match, JC Mateo starts strong against Jim Uso, using shoulder blocks and quick moves. Jim fights back with chops and uppercuts, but Solo interferes to help JC. After a break, JC gains control again, hitting a big slam and a moonsault. Jim responds with a superkick, but JC manages to slip away and counter with his moves. In the end, JC wins with his finishing move, Tour of the Islands.
After the match, Solo tries to get Jim to reconcile, but Jim slaps him. Just then, Jacob Fatu arrives to save the day. He hits a moonsault on Mateo, and a standoff occurs between Jacob and Jim. They don’t shake hands, but they stand together against Solo, showing their alliance against him.
Winner: JC Mateo
Grade C+
Analysis
This rivalry is going to a tag team rivalry on the weekly episodes after a US title match between Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at WWE Night of Champions. The match was good as JC got a victory because he must not lose so early in his career. Uso will recover from this loss.
Backstage
In a backstage segment, the tag team division is being motivated by #DIY to unite against the Wyatt 6. They express their frustration to Nick Aldis, the SmackDown General Manager, questioning why the Wyatts are receiving a tag title match. Aldis assures them he will take action and introduces Andrade el Idolo, instructing him to find a tag partner for a match against #DIY. This sets the stage for upcoming confrontations in the tag team division.
Giulia vs Zelina Vega for WWE Women’s United States Championship

The match begins with Zelina Vega executing a leg pick, leading to a back-and-forth exchange. Giulia climbs to the top rope, but Zelina cuts her off with a knee strike, knocking her to the floor and following up with an Orihara moonsault as the show goes to break.
Upon returning from the commercial, Zelina continues her assault, delivering double knees against the steel steps. Back in the ring, she maintains control with knees in the corner and attempts a Meteora, but Giulia counters. After a series of exchanges, Zelina sets up for a Code Red, but Giulia manages to get her foot on the ropes to break the pin. Giulia then presses the attack and ultimately secures the victory with a Northern Lights Bomb, becoming the new WWE Women’s United States Champion.
Winner: Giulia
Grade B
Analysis
Giulia won the US championship, which is good for her young career. She richly deserves it after a strip-off from NXT titles and a quick move to the main event. On the other side, Zelina could not get the lengthy run, which is not good as she had continuously struggled in the past few years to get to this point. Hopefully, WWE must not spoil the career of Giulia after fast-tracking her to the title.
Backstage Encounter
In a backstage segment, Charlotte Flair encounters Alexa Bliss. Charlotte expresses her reluctance to talk, while Alexa insists she needs help. Charlotte dismisses the idea of friendship, but Alexa suggests they can be “allies of convenience.” This sets the stage for potential collaboration as the show goes to break.
Queen of the Ring Finalist Face to Face

Wade Barrett hosts a face-to-face segment between Jade Cargill and Asuka ahead of their Queen of the Ring final at Night of Champions. Jade confidently declares that she’s not just taking the title at SummerSlam but the “whole damn throne.” Asuka responds by acknowledging Jade’s strength but asserts that power isn’t everything—she has the skills and experience to win.
Naomi interrupts, reminding them that as Miss Money in the Bank, she holds all the power. She taunts Jade, saying she could ruin her biggest night. Tensions escalate as Jade attacks Naomi, and Asuka retaliates by striking Jade for ignoring her, leaving her laid out.
Grade B+
Analysis
The inclusion of Naomi made this interesting. Asuka vs Jade is a big match of the powerhouses for the Queen of the Ring. It looked like WWE is planning a match between Iyo Sky and Asuka at WWE Summerslam. It means that Asuka will win it, maybe after Naomi’s interference.
Backstage Segment
In the General Manager’s office, Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis discuss the unresolved situation with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Before they can decide, Aleister Black arrives, but the conversation is interrupted by R-Truth, who demands a match with John Cena. Pearce explains Cena is here for CM Punk, not Truth, prompting Truth to storm off, with Black following him as the show heads to break.
DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) vs Andrade el Idolo & Rey Fenix

In the opening of the match, Andrade el Idolo and Tommaso Ciampa start with a waistlock. Ciampa quickly counters with a back elbow and follows up with punches. After tagging in Rey Fenix, they execute a double whip and a series of kicks, sandwiching their opponents with a dropkick and an enzuigiri. The babyfaces then perform stereo planchas, taking out #DIY as the show goes to a commercial break.
When the show returns, Fenix is in control, sending Johnny Gargano to the floor and delivering a kick combo to Ciampa. Gargano tries to pull Andrade off the apron, but Ciampa counters with a knee strike. As the action continues, Ciampa sets Gargano up top, but Fenix knocks him down. Andrade then makes a hot tag and comes in aggressively, taking out both opponents with a series of moves, including a tornado DDT.
As the match progresses, Gargano climbs to the top rope, but Andrade follows him. Their attempt at a moonsault is interrupted by Ciampa, who breaks it up. Fenix then dives onto Ciampa and the two teams trade strikes. The action intensifies with near falls and big moves, including a Poison Frankensteiner and a superkick-assisted Fairytale Ending, but neither team can secure the win just yet.
In the final moments, Andrade and Fenix execute a Mexican Muscle Buster on Ciampa, leading to Andrade pinning him for the victory. Andrade el Idolo and Rey Fenix win the match with their finishing move, the Message from Andrade, solidifying their dominance in the ring.
Winner: Andrade and Rey Fenix
Grade A
Analysis
It was a great performance from all four competitors. Andrade and Fenix hit their moves smoothly. DIY is consistently losing, which may be taking them to a breakup, although WWE does not have enough plans for them as singles competitors. The best use of all these competitors is making them stay in the tag teams.
Ron Killing and Aleister Black’s Rivalry Began

Ron Killings enters the ring and engages the crowd in Saudi Arabia, introducing himself as “the Truth.” He demands that John Cena come out immediately, making it clear he won’t let Cena avoid him. Suddenly, Aleister Black appears from behind and knocks Ron out with a devastating Black Mass kick. After the attack, Black sits down and tells Ron that they are even now, referencing a previous encounter.
Grade C
Analysis
A serious Ron is a good thing for WWE SmackDown moving forward. Black will get the benefit from this rivalry. It will be a good feud to make him relevant again in the WWE universe.
Backstage
Meanwhile, the Street Profits are interviewed backstage. They reflect on their long journey back to the tag team titles, emphasizing that the Wyatt 6 are mistaken if they think they can take the titles from them. They express their determination to defend their championship and prepare for their upcoming match. B-FAB joins them, offering her support, and they make their entrance as the segment transitions to a break.
Street Profits vs Wyatt 6 for WWE Tag Team Championship

The match begins with Dexter Lumis and Montez Ford facing off, and as the bell rings, they exchange punches. Ford hits a big dropkick and tags in Joe Gacy, but Lumis quickly counters with a spinebuster. The action intensifies as #DIY, and the Motor City Machine Guns appear at ringside, leading to a commercial break.
When the show returns, Ford runs into a powerful pop-up haymaker from Lumis, and both men collide in the center of the ring. Angelo Dawkins tags in and starts to dominate Gacy, but Gacy counters and tags Lumis back in. Chaos ensues when Los Garza interferes, tripping Lumis outside the ring without the referee noticing. Dawkins then pounces Lumis into Los Garza, and as #DIY attacks Dawkins, the referee calls for a disqualification, resulting in a win for the Street Profits by DQ.
After the match, a wild brawl breaks out among the various tag teams. Erick Rowan enters the fray, taking out Los Garza with a crossbody. However, the Motor City Machine Guns and Fraxiom team up to take him down with a series of superkicks and dives. Just when it seems like the chaos is at its peak, Uncle Howdy slides into the ring and hits Sister Abigail. The Street Profits manage to clear Howdy out, with Dawkins and Ford executing impressive dives to keep the action going.
Grade C+
Analysis
The match was just getting started, but the disqualification stopped it from being a classic. This is going to take us to a multi-team tag match, maybe at Summerslam, which is good. Because the SmackDown Tag Team division has done outstanding work in the past year. Wyatt 6 deserves a match with Street Profits without any disqualification, which we will surely get later this year.
Backstage
In the parking lot, Jacob Fatu encounters Jim Uso, and they discuss their relationship, acknowledging that while they don’t need each other’s help, they have no issues with one another. Jim expresses respect for Jacob’s recent decision to confront Solo Sikoa, suggesting it’s something he should have done earlier. Jacob responds positively, indicating that as long as he can find his place within the family, everything is good, emphasizing the importance of fitting in and making his mark.
Nia Jax vs Tiffany Stratton for WWE Women’s Championship Last Woman Standing Match

The match begins with Nia Jax shoving Tiffany Stratton before the bell rings. The referee, Dan Engler, quickly warns Jax as she throws Tiffany into the turnbuckles and removes a turnbuckle pad. Tiffany manages to escape and slides out of the ring, but Nia cuts her off and starts to dominate the match. Jax even Samoan drops Tiffany onto the announce desk, and the referee begins his count as the action intensifies.
When the show returns from a break, Tiffany surprises Nia with a big crossbody and follows it up with a senton atomico. However, Nia quickly turns the tide and throws Tiffany out of the ring, chasing after her. Jax sets Tiffany on a table and dives through it, but Tiffany manages to beat the referee’s count and get back into the match. The action continues to escalate, with Nia using a chair and hitting a powerful Banzai Drop on Tiffany, but she still gets back up.
As the match progresses, Nia sets up a table and climbs with Tiffany on her back. Tiffany slips out and delivers a powerbomb through the table, but Nia beats the count again. Just when it seems like Nia has the upper hand, Naomi appears with her Money in the Bank briefcase, looking to cash in. However, Tiffany kicks Naomi and uses the briefcase to attack both her and Nia, showcasing her resilience.
In the final moments, Tiffany executes her signature move, the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, and then knocks Nia off the apron with the briefcase. Nia crashes through tables outside the ring, and the referee counts her out. Tiffany Stratton wins the match, retaining her WWE Women’s Championship as Nia fails to answer the ten count. The match highlights Tiffany’s determination and skill, solidifying her position as champion.
Winner: Tiffany Stratton
Grade A
Analysis
The action was strong. Nia Jax has improved a lot in the past two years. Tiffy has also consistently improved in the ring and carried herself well in this match. The table spot was simple and effective. It is a great victory for Tiffany as she can now go to another opponent. The time will tell where Nia Jax will go after this loss.
Punk Becomes Doctor of Thuganomics

John Cena makes his entrance and grabs the microphone, addressing the crowd in Saudi Arabia. He confidently declares himself a winner and calls CM Punk a loser who has been outsmarted at every turn. Cena dismisses their upcoming match at Night of Champions as a mere formality, claiming Punk has no chance of stopping him. His words are bold and full of bravado, setting the stage for their heated rivalry.
Suddenly, Basic Thuganomics plays, and a “Punk Life” graphic appears on the screen. CM Punk enters, dressed in Cena’s old Thuganomics-era style, though his look comes off more comedic than intimidating. Grabbing the mic, Punk delivers a rap filled with sharp insults, accusing Cena of stealing his iconic “Pipe Bomb” promo and mocking his slow movements in the ring. Punk calls Cena a “Temu Macklemore” with no rhythm and claims he’s buried more talent than the Undertaker.
Punk continues his verbal assault, criticizing Cena’s Hollywood career and comparing him unfavorably to Batista. He calls Cena a “fishbelly white Hulk Hogan” and labels him problematic. Punk raps lazily but lands harsh jabs, calling Cena a fraud and a leech who always makes things about himself. He ends by saying Cena will soon be irrelevant, stuck washing James Gunn’s laundry, and mocks him as a washed-up Marine. As Punk finishes, the crowd erupts, chanting, “You can’t wrestle!” at Cena while singing along to Cult of Personality.
Grade B
Analysis
Last week was great, but this looked like an absolute waste of the Thuganomics Gimmick. Punk could not justify this look and even the promo. He had a few good lines directed at Jon Cena. This match is bigger than anything else. So, a promo segment cannot make any difference. They both will try to destroy each other tomorrow. It was all from WWE SmackDown June 27 Results, Winners, Grades, and Analysis.
