    What’s Next for Roman Reigns

After the recap of the highlights of WWE RAW on Netflix, the camera panned to the ring where Paul Heyman was already present. He introduced himself and proclaimed there’s only one reigning, defending, undisputed Tribal Chief – Roman Reigns. The crowd erupted into OTC chants, and Heyman continued, saying that Reigns had authorized him to reveal his next move.

Heyman emphasized that he wanted to share this news with one man in particular, the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare, dressed in a suit, walked to the ring to a huge crowd ovation. Heyman praised Cody and said he has earned respect from Roman Reigns and all of WWE.

Heyman delivered Roman’s message: Roman Reigns wants his title back. Heyman announced that Roman Reigns will enter the Men’s Royal Rumble match. The Wiseman clarified that the Tribal Chief will come after Cody after winning the Royal Rumble.

As Cody was about to speak, Kevin Owens interrupted from the crowd. He criticized Cody for shaking The Rock’s and Paul Heyman’s hands. Cody didn’t hold back and charged towards Owens. The two engaged in a brawl among the audience as WWE officials tried to prevent further action.

Meanwhile, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga confronted Paul Heyman in the ring. Jimmy Uso rushed to the ring, delivering superkicks to Jacob and Tonga. Jimmy used a steel chair against them, but Jacob fought back with a headbutt and attacked WWE officials. As chaos ensued, Kenny Dykstra and Nick Aldis joined the fray. Cody Rhodes returned and took down Tonga and Fatu.

    Grades: A

Analysis: The show started with Roman’s Royal Rumble declaration, and there was no better way to do it. Solo Sikoa wasn’t here, but Fatu and Tonga made an impact representing the Bloodline. Roman is definitely in the Top 5 Wrestlers to win Royal Rumble 2025.

Chelsea Green (c) vs Michin – WWE Women’s United States Championship Match

    credit: WWE

As the match began, Michin attempted Eat Defeat, but Chelsea escaped to the outside. Michin climbed the top rope for a double axe handle, but Green dodged and sent her into the barricade outside. Back from the break, Michin delivered a back suplex and a cannonball in the corner for a two-count.

On the apron, Niven attempted interference, but Michin kicked her and landed a cannonball. Greem rolled Michin for the cover and the win! Michin tried to retaliate after the match, but Niven laid her out with a senton.

    Winner: Chelsea Green

    Grades: B

Analysis: Chelsea’s run is going fine so far. WWE needs to move her on to the next opponent quickly and end the long feud with Michin.

    Los Garza vs Pretty Deadly

    credit: WWE

All four wrestlers brawled in the ring as the bell rang. Humberto and Garza double-teamed Wilson for a two-count. Angel delivered a knee, but Wilson countered with a dropkick. Back from the break, Angel hit a backbreaker on Wilson and landed a crossbody from the top rope for a nearfall. Angel followed up with a hurricanrana and a superkick.

Wilson tried to interrupt the referee, but Elektra Lopez’s distraction was more fruitful. Santos Escobar got involved, and Humberto and Garza landed a double press on Prince for the win.

    Winners: Los Garza

Grades: It was good to see both these teams getting screen time. WWE is trying to freshen things up in the tag team division, and Pretty Deadly has a lot more potential.

Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs LA Knight – WWE United States Championship Match

    credit: WWE

In the early going, both men exchanged headlocks and shoulder tackles. LA Knight hit a swinging neckbreaker. Nakamura rolled to the ring apron and responded with a kick and a knee to the face. The champion placed the challenger on the top rope and delivered his signature knee to the ribs. Knight bounced back with a clothesline and a baseball slide, slamming Nakamura into the announce table.

Back from the commercial, Knight clotheslined Nakamura and delivered a power slam. Knight landed a jumping elbow drop for a two-count. Nakamura untangled the second turnbuckle pad while LA Knight rolled him for another two-count. Nakamura landed a kick and climbed the top rope, but Knight jumped up and delivered a superplex. Knight applied a reverse Boston crab, but Nakamura reached the bottom rope.

Both men escaped from each other’s finishers. Shinsuke landed a spinning back elbow and successfully delivered the Kinshasa. Knight got his foot on the rope during the pinfall. Nakamura placed Knight’s chin onto the exposed turnbuckle and went for Kinshasa again. Knight dodged, causing Nakamura to hit the turnbuckle. Knight hit the BFT and covered, but Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga interfered, leading to a disqualification.

Fatu delivered a pop-up Samoan drop, two running hip attacks in the corner and a moonsault from the top rope to Knight. Cody Rhodes and Jimmy Uso took care of the Bloodline as Nick Aldis and WWE officials arrived. Rhodes proposed a tag team match for the night with him and Jimmy against Fatu and Tonga. Nick Aldis made the match official.

    Winner: LA Knight by DQ

    Grades: B+

Analysis: It was a fun match while it lasted. Nakamura’s booking with this new character is good so far. Knight interfered with Fatu backstage earlier tonight, which caused the Bloodline to cost him his US Title match.

Motor City Machine Guns vs A-Town Down Under

    credit: WWE

The bell rang, and Waller tripped Sabin off the apron as Theory landed punches on Shelley. He slammed Shelley chest first into the turnbuckle, followed by a running clothesline in the corner. Sabin and Waller were tagged in, and Waller landed a spinning punch. Theory tripped Sabin to the outside as Waller hit a flatliner on Shelley for a nearfall.

Back from the commercial, Shelley knocked Waller down with right hands, and Sabin delivered a drop kick off the second rope onto Theory. A-Town Down Under to the outside, and the Motor City Machine Guns landed a double baseball slide. Sabin landed a suicide dive between Shelley’s legs onto A-Town Down Under. Sabin hit a jawbreaker while Shelley landed an atomic drop on Waller. They delivered the Skull and Bones to Theory for the win.

    Winners: Motor City Machine Guns

    Grades: B-

Analysis: Motor City Machine Guns were the obvious winners regarding their recent booking. Austin Theory needs to be a singles star. His potential is underutilized in this tag team. He is a future prospect who is getting overlooked by Triple H.

Tiffany Stratton WWE Women’s Championship Celebration

    credit: WWE

Lilian Garcia introduced the new WWE Women’s Champion, Tiffany Stratton, to the ring! Byron Saxton joined her in the ring, commending her for shocking the world last week where Tiffany Stratton cashed in on Nia Jax to become the new champion. Tiffany shouted, “It’s Tiffy Time!” She recounted her journey, highlighting how, at just 25 years old, she has already surpassed everyone’s expectations to become the WWE Women’s Champion.

Byron mentioned that she and Nia Jax were close friends. Tiffany cleared that she outsmarted Nia by pretending to be naive, ultimately stealing the championship. Nia Jax came out and entered the ring, calling Tiffany an “ungrateful little shit”. She took credit for making Stratton who she is today. Jax wanted Tiffany to hand over the title to her, or she would take it anyway.

Bayley strode to the ring and told Nia to shut up. She admitted that Tiffany’s plan worked because even she underestimated her. Bayley reminded Tiffany of how she was the reason she lost the title and vowed to take it from the newest champion. Naomi and Bianca Belair arrived on the scene and demanded a title opportunity.

Chaos erupted as Nia grabbed Bianca and slammed her into Naomi. Bayley, Bianca, and Naomi triple-teamed Nia, but Tiffany landed the Prettiest Moonsault Ever on them! Standing tall, Tiffany declared it was “Tiffy Time” and raised her championship in the air. Nick Aldis appeared with a solution to the chaos: a fatal four-way match between Nia, Bayley, Naomi, and Bianca to determine the number one contender for Stratton’s title, happening right now!

    Grades: B+

Analysis: It was a fun segment. Tiffany had a great first outing as the WWE Women’s Champion. Tiffy delivered a strong promo recounting her past year and how she tricked Nia. Her first opponent will be decided right now.

Nia Jax vs Bianca Belair vs Bayley vs Naomi

    credit: WWE

The bell rang, and Bayley, Bianca, and Naomi immediately targeted Nia. The Irresistible Force pushed them all away and rolled outside. Nia dragged Bianca and threw her into the barricade. Naomi and Bayley landed a baseball slide on Nia. Bayley was sent into the barricade by Jax. Nia entered the ring, but Naomi delivered a jawbreaker. Nia countered a hurricanrana with a powerbomb.

Bianca dropkicked Nia and landed punches in the corner, but Nia lifted her and hit a sit-down powerbomb. Bayley delivered a back suplex on Nia. Belair and Naomi slammed Jax onto the mat with Bayley on her shoulders. Back from the commercial, Naomi delivered a jawbreaker to Nia. Bayley and Bianca exchanged punches with Nia and shoulder-tackled Nia to the outside.

Naomi delivered a Russian leg sweep and hit the split-legged moonsault on Jax for a nearfall. Bayley landed an elbow drop on Nia but got pulled off by Naomi. Belair landed a 450 splash, but Bayley pulled her off. Candice LeRae appeared as Nia rolled to the outside. Bianca and Naomi double-teamed Bayley with a Russian leg sweep and an elbow drop, sending Bayley outside.

Nia reentered the ring, as did Bianca, who hit a spear on Nia. Bayley delivered a Bayley to Belly, and Naomi hit the Rear View, but Nia broke it up with a Samoan drop. Bianca landed a moonsault onto Bayley for a two-count. The EST attempted the KOD on Bayley, but Candice grabbed Bianca’s hair. Bianca pulled away, accidentally whipping Naomi. Nia pulled Bianca outside, but Bianca retaliated, sending them both over the announce table. Bayley delivered the Rose Plant on Naomi in the ring, securing the pin.

    Winner: Bayley

    Grades: B+

Analysis: It was a great PLE-level fatal four-way match on SmackDown. Nia’s improvement in the ring since her return needs to be praised. Bayley is the first challenger for Tiffany’s championship, and the match will take place next week.

Cody Rhodes and Jimmy Uso vs Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga

    credit: WWE

Cody and Tama Tonga started things off. Cody landed a right hand and slammed Tama onto the mat. Jimmy tagged in and hit a double axe handle on Tonga’s left arm. Jacob Fatu tagged in and delivered a pop-up Samoan drop on Jimmy. Back from the commercial, Fatu knocked Cody off the ring apron and delivered a senton to Jimmy. Fatu landed a couple of hip attacks for a two-count. Jacob placed Jimmy on the top rope, and Jimmy countered with a back elbow followed by a corkscrew off the second rope.

Cody tagged in, as did Tama. Cody hit a Disaster Kick, throwing Tonga to the outside. Jacob rushed towards Cody, but Cody sent him outside as well. Cody landed a suicide dive on both men. Cody attempted the Cross Rhodes on Tonga back in the ring, but Tonga countered with a DDT. Cody grabbed Tama Tonga and hit a superplex from the top, followed by Jimmy’s Uso splash.

As Fatu charged in, Jimmy delivered a right hand, and Cody executed a Cody Cutter. Jimmy then landed a suicide dive on Fatu, sending him over to the commentary table. Kevin Owens appeared and fought Cody to the backstage area. Jimmy landed a superkick on Tama in the ring, followed by a spear. Jimmy hit a Uso Splash and covered Tonga, but Jacob dragged Jimmy outside.

Jacob tagged himself in and delivered a jumping DDT followed by a moonsault from the top rope for the victory. The camera cuts to Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes brawling near the stage. Cody rushed at Owens, and both men crashed through a table as SmackDown went off the air.

Winners: Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga

    Grades: B

Analysis: A solid main event. Jacob Fatu shines as a standout in the Bloodline’s primary win in the absence of Solo Sikoa. The escalating feud between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes just got more intense.
