On January 10, WWE SmackDown aired from Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The show featured Tiffany Stratton celebrating her WWE Women’s Title win after a successful cash-in last week. The men’s and the women’s US Championships were defended on the show. The main question of the night was what’s next for the Bloodline. Let’s find it out in WWE SmackDown January 10 Results.
What’s Next for Roman Reigns
After the recap of the highlights of WWE RAW on Netflix, the camera panned to the ring where Paul Heyman was already present. He introduced himself and proclaimed there’s only one reigning, defending, undisputed Tribal Chief – Roman Reigns. The crowd erupted into OTC chants, and Heyman continued, saying that Reigns had authorized him to reveal his next move.
Heyman emphasized that he wanted to share this news with one man in particular, the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare, dressed in a suit, walked to the ring to a huge crowd ovation. Heyman praised Cody and said he has earned respect from Roman Reigns and all of WWE.
Heyman delivered Roman’s message: Roman Reigns wants his title back. Heyman announced that Roman Reigns will enter the Men’s Royal Rumble match. The Wiseman clarified that the Tribal Chief will come after Cody after winning the Royal Rumble.
As Cody was about to speak, Kevin Owens interrupted from the crowd. He criticized Cody for shaking The Rock’s and Paul Heyman’s hands. Cody didn’t hold back and charged towards Owens. The two engaged in a brawl among the audience as WWE officials tried to prevent further action.
Meanwhile, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga confronted Paul Heyman in the ring. Jimmy Uso rushed to the ring, delivering superkicks to Jacob and Tonga. Jimmy used a steel chair against them, but Jacob fought back with a headbutt and attacked WWE officials. As chaos ensued, Kenny Dykstra and Nick Aldis joined the fray. Cody Rhodes returned and took down Tonga and Fatu.
Grades: A
Analysis: The show started with Roman’s Royal Rumble declaration, and there was no better way to do it. Solo Sikoa wasn’t here, but Fatu and Tonga made an impact representing the Bloodline. Roman is definitely in the Top 5 Wrestlers to win Royal Rumble 2025.
