The first few minutes were amazing as the crowd sang and waved their phones in the air. Randy and Cody struggled for the upper hand. Rhodes hit a bulldog. Orton delivered a Superplex off the top rope, hurting his own back in the process.

As The Viper got up, he delivered RKO for a two-count. Randy was in disbelief and started preparing for the Punt Kick. Orton hesitated for a bit before going for the Punt. The hesitation allowed Cody to move out of the way and apply a Figure Four Leglock. The hold broke and both competitors exchanged punches. Cody jumped from the middle rope for Cutter, but Orton delivered RKO. The American Nightmare somehow kicked out at two.
Randy rolled outside and grabbed a steel chair. The referee didn’t allow Orton to use the chair. Orton ripped off the turnbuckle pad. However, it was Rhodes who sent Orton ribs-first into the exposed turnbuckle and delivered a Cross Rhodes for the win. Both Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis came in the ring and Aldis presented Cody with the crown. In a post-match interview with Byron Saxton, Rhodes praised Orton. He vowed to take the title back at SummerSlam.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
Grades: B+
Analysis: It was a brilliant match to begin WWE Night Of Champions 2025. The crowd made the experience a whole lot better. Both Cody and Randy gave us glimpses of their heelish side. Orton tried to use the chair and the turnbuckle. Rhodes used the exposed turnbuckle and Orton’s back injury to his advantage. In the end, Cody was the expected winner, and he’ll go against John Cena at SummerSlam.
Rhea Ripley vs Raquel Rodriguez – Street Fight

The Street Fight began at a quick pace. Raquel absorbed Rhea’s offense and delivered a vicious clothesline. Rodriguez followed it up with a couple of fallaway slams. Rodriguez tied Ripley to the ropes and delivered multiple chops. Raquel grabbed a kendo stick and targeted Ripley’s midsection. Rhea somehow managed to break free of the ropes and sent Raquel into the steps at ringside. Ripley took off the commentary table’s hood and bridged it over the timekeeper’s area.
Rhea launched herself for a cannonball but got caught. Raquel landed a powerbomb, cracking through the table’s hood. Rodriguez grabbed a table from under the ring and placed it in the corner of the ring. Rhea unhooked a belt from her gear and smacked Rodriguez several times. Ripley delivered Razor’s Edge for a two-count. Roxanne Perez interfered in the match to save Raquel from a Prison Trap. Rhea chased Perez to the outside and delivered a suplex on the floor.

Both competitors climbed to the top, and Ripley delivered a riptide from the table platform onto the canvas for the victory.
Winner: Rhea Ripley
Grades: B
Analysis: It was a very good Street Fight. Rhea Ripley was going to win as we predicted in the WWE Night Of Champions 2025 Predictions. However, Rodriguez was also booked strongly. She had the opportunity to step up from the Judgment Day as Liv Morgan is injured. Roxanne Perez is trying her best to be acknowledged as a member of Judgment Day. The match’s finish was unique.
Sami Zayn vs Karrion Kross

The crowd was wild for Sami Zayn, but they also cheered for Karrion Kross. Kross delivered multiple stomps and Zayn replied by sending Kross to the outside. At ringside, Sami landed a moonsault block off the barricade. Back in the ring, Kross hit a Doomsday Saito and assaulted Zayn for a while. Kross and Scarlett taunted Zayn throughout. Sami bounced back with a clothesline. Sami delivered an ax handle from the top rope. Kross fought back with a neckbreaker.

Kross delivered two clotheslines in the corner. Zayn followed him the third time and hit a Helluva Kick for the win.
Winner: Sami Zayn
Grades: C
Analysis: It was a decent match. Kross got himself some fans in recent weeks, but his in-ring work didn’t look very impressive. Zayn’s ability to make others look good brought an average performance out of Kross. In the end, Zayn’s got the win, and he should go on for some bigger storyline.
Jacob Fatu (c) vs Solo Sikoa – WWE United States Championship

Solo cheaply attacked Fatu before the bell rang and mocked him. The match began and Fatu dominated Sikoa. The US Champion delivered a diving clothesline followed by a pair of senton splashes. Hikuleo, now named Talla Loa, pulled Fatu outside and delivered a chokeslam. In the ring, Sikoa delivered Samoan Spike for the win.
Winner: Solo Sikoa
Grades: B+
Analysis: Wow! There is the return of Tonga Loa and the debut of Talla Loa. Solo Sikoa is the new United States Champion, his first-ever championship on the main roster, and the Bloodline got stronger. This was surprising but it’s a feel-good moment for Solo. He worked hard last year but didn’t achieve anything. Jacob Fatu lost the title, but he’ll be chasing Sikoa in the coming weeks.
Asuka vs Jade Cargill – WWE Queen of the Ring Tournament’s Final

The stakes are higher as Asuka and Jade Cargill battled in the Queen of the Ring Final with the winner getting a world title shot at SummerSlam. Cargill showed her power and blasted Asuka with a pump kick. In the end, Asuka delivered two stiff kicks and charged for the Empress Impact, but Cargill countered into Jaded for the pin and the win. Adam Pearce presented the crown to Cargill.
Winner: Jade Cargill
Grades: B
Analysis: It was a fine match. Jade Cargill is the Queen of the Ring as we predicted in WWE Night Of Champions 2025 Predictions. The finish was kind of botched. Asuka’s shoulder was up on the pin. It isn’t clear whether it was scripted, or Cargill just pulled the leg more.

Both men slowly got up. Cena attempted a shoulder tackle, but Punk moved aside, allowing Cena to take down the referee.
Punk seized the moment with a second GTS but there was no official. Seth “Freakin” Rollins stormed to the ring with Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed. Charles Robinson rushed down the ramp, but Cena intercepted him with a clothesline.
Cena confronted Rollins in the ring and planted him with an AA. Breakker and Reed double-teamed Cena before Penta arrived. Breakker landed a Northern Lights suplex on the stage on Penta. Sami Zayn arrived and brawled with Breakker. Penta leaped off the ramp, taking both men out with a dive. In the ring, Reed ascended the top rope, but Punk shoved him off. Cena delivered an AA to Reed.
Cena and Punk were alone in the ring. The crowd roared as the two greats hugged. Cena’s expressions darkened just like Elimination Chamber 2025. Punk blocked the low blow and lifted Cena for GTS. Rollins smashed Punk with the briefcase and landed a Stomp. Cena tossed Rollins out of the ring and stole the victory.
Winner: John Cena
Grades: A
Analysis: The main event match was fun. Cena and Punk gave their all in the ring. Cena has been slow in the ring in 2025, and it was evident from this match as well. However, they worked well still with their limitations. Seth Rollins’ involvement made the ending very chaotic and interesting.
Overall, a great show! What match do you enjoy the most? Give your thoughts on WWE Night Of Champions 2025 Results.
