    WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 happened from OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. The show featured five matches, each having a championship on the line. We witnessed a classic “I Quit” match. Let’s delve into WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 Results.

    Cody Rhodes vs AJ Styles, “I Quit” match (Undisputed WWE Championship)

    The crowd was electric for this clash. Cody Rhodes received a thunderous ovation, while Styles got a mixed reaction from the crowd. Rhodes couldn’t wait to get his hands on Styles and started on fire. Cody punched AJ multiple times and landed a snap power slam. Styles replied with an inverted atomic drop. Cody rocked Styles with a Bionic Elbow and a dropkick off the apron.

    Rhodes pulled two tables from under the ring to a loud pop from the audience. The action went from attendance to the backstage area. They fought in the Gorilla position. Styles choked Cody with a wire. They reached the ring, and Rhodes applied a Figure Four Leglock. Styles barely escaped. AJ hit a superplex, sending himself and Cody over the apron to the outside. Styles delivered a Death Valley Driver on the commentary desk, followed by a brainbuster. Cody didn’t quit.

    AJ hit a Ushigoroshi and a dropkick to keep Cody down. Styles went for a Styles Clash off the steel steps, but Cody countered it with a back-body drop. Back in the ring, Cody hit a Disaster Kick. AJ wouldn’t be down for long, and he hit a Pele Kick and a DDT. Styles assaulted Cody with a steel chair and a kendo stick. The Phenomenal One hit Rhodes with a belt and applied the STF.

    AJ grabbed a black bag from under the ring, which had handcuffs. Styles talked trash to Mama Rhodes at ringside. She slapped him multiple times. AJ tried a Phenomenal Forearm on Cody, but The American Nightmare smashed him with a chair, sending him to the outside through a table. Cody hit a Cody Cutter and a couple of Cross Rhodes. The Champion hit another Cross Rhodes on a steel chair. He stopped the referee from asking Styles as he wanted to punish Styles.

    Cody handcuffed Styles to the middle rope and landed multiple chair shots. Rhodes grabbed steel steps and held them above his head. As he was going to smash AJ with steps, Styles said, “I Quit,” but Rhodes smashed him with the steps anyway. After the match, Solo Sikoa led a Bloodline beating for Cody. Randy and Owens saved Rhodes.

    Winner: Cody Rhodes

    Grades: A

    Analysis: Brutal and hard-hitting “I Quit” match. Cody and AJ gave their all in the ring. The game picked a good pace throughout. The ending felt flat, as they could have found a much more creative finish.

    Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill vs. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn vs. Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark (WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships)

    A superstar from each team was legal at the time. Belair hit a backbreaker on Isla. The EST landed a back suplex on Baszler, followed by a handspring standing moonsault. Jade’s power was on display. She delivered a double clothesline to Zoey and Alba, followed by avalanches in the corner. Cargill caught both Stark and Fyre at a time and landed a Samoan Drop/Fallaway Slam combo. Belair and Cargill delivered stereo Vertical Suplexes to Baszler and Stark.

    The challengers made a temporary alliance against the champions. Fyre laid out Cargill with a suicide dive, followed by a Meteora from Dawn. Stark landed a springboard twisting senton on Dawn, followed by a springboard missile dropkick. Baszler hit an inverted gut-wrench suplex for a two-count. Alba fought back with a superkick and a tornado DDT on Stark. Fyre landed a somersault senton off the top rope, dropping Baszler and Stark down.

    A tree of woe moment came when Dawn delivered a powerbomb on Baszler, and Shayna hit a superplex on Fyre. Baszler applied the Kirifuda Clutch on Cargill. Bianca broke it up with a 450 splash. The champions hit a DDT/German Suplex combo on Baszler. Isla Dawn sent Cargill away and pinned Baszler for the victory.

    Winners: Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn

    Grades: C

    Analysis: Huge victory for Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. The home crowd applauded them. The match was sometimes a bit pathetic, with significant moves poorly executed.

    Sami Zayn vs Chad Gable (WWE Intercontinental Championship)

    The match began classically, with both stars tussling for a charge. Gable looked for Ankle Lock early on, but Zayn escaped every time. They exchanged hard slaps, and Gable sent Zayn into the turnbuckles. Chad landed a Northern Lights suplex for a two-count. Zayn and Gable continued talking to Otis after some time throughout the progression of the match. Zayn landed two flying elbow strikes followed by a split-legged moonsault to the outside. Gable delivered a dropkick in midair for a two-count.

    Sami landed a Michinoku Driver for a near fall. Gable fought back with a powerbomb and a flying headbutt for a near fall. Gable landed two German Suplexes. Sami returned the favor with two of his own, followed by a half-and-half suplex for a two-count. Gable applied the Ankle Lock, but Zayn countered it into a roll-up for a two-count. Gable went to ringside and handed the IC Title to Maxxine.

    Chad distracted the referee in the ring and signaled Maxxine to hit Zayn with the championship belt. Maxxine couldn’t bring herself to do that. Gable admonished her in the corner. Zayn went for a Helluva Kick, but Gable moved away. Sami nearly hit Maxxine. Gable delivered Chaos Theory for a near fall. Gable chased Maxxine at ringside, but Otis got in the way. The crowd erupted for the big man. Zayn landed a somersault senton. Otis shoved Gable and took the senton for him.

    Sami hit an exploder in the corner. The action went to the outside, where Zayn wisely rolled Gable and sent him into Maxxine. Otis was angry, and he carried Maxxine away. Back in the ring, Zayn hit a Helluva Kick for the win.

    Winner: Sami Zayn

    Grades: B+

    Analysis: This was another solid match in this rivalry. The Alpha Academy breakup is still on hold. After the match, Sami told Gable he wouldn’t get another chance at the IC Title. Sami ZZayn retained the title as we predicted in WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 Predictions.

    Bayley vs Piper Niven (WWE Women’s Championship)

    The crowd was firmly behind Bayley. They showed support to the home girl, Piper Niven. The match began and Niven hit a shoulder block and a scoop slam. Chelsea Green was at ringside, and she slapped Bayley. Back in the ring, Green again grabbed Bayley’s foot. The referee realized it this time and ejected Green from ringside. Piper landed a rolling senton and a senton splash for a two-count. Bayley fought back with a DDT and a suicide dive.

    Bayley landed a senton bomb and a diving elbow drop for a near fall. Piper hit a Uranage and a senton splash. Bayley delivered a Bayley-to-Belly suplex off the middle rope. Green ran to the ring in a luchador mask. Bayley was distracted, and Niven hit her with a Piper Driver for a near fall. Niven landed a Boss Man Slam on the floor. Bayley got the win with a crucifix pin.

    Winner: Bayley

    Grades: B-

    Analysis: A pretty good match for the WWE Women’s Championship.

    Drew McIntyre vs Damian Priest (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

    Drew McIntyre got a heroic welcome and a special entrance. The crowd roared for the hometown hero. Damian Priest was welcomed with a chorus of boos. McIntyre hit a couple of clotheslines in the ring. Priest rolled to the outside and slammed McIntyre into a ring post. Back inside, Drew landed a spinebuster for a two-count. Priest got caught in the rope, and his foot was trapped, which looked scary. McIntyre suplexed Damian.

    The champions landed a big boot, but McIntyre replied with a Future Shock DDT for a near fall. Priest hit Drew with Razor’s Edge. Drew delivered a neckbreaker and prepared for the Claymore Kick. Priest rolled to the outside. McIntyre chased him and sent him over the barricade with a Claymore Kick. Back in the ring, Priest hit a South of Heaven Chokeslam for a near fall. After a bit of exchange, Drew hit Claymore for a two-count.

    The referee was knocked down in the process. McIntyre delivered another Claymore Kick. A new referee ran down to the ring but stopped counting at two. The referee was revealed to be CM Punk. Drew grabbed Punk by the neck, but Punk hit him with a low blow. Priest took advantage and hit a South of Heaven Chokeslam. Damian Priest pinned Drew McIntyre and beat him in his hometown of Scotland, thanks to CM Punk. McIntyre was in disbelief.

    Winner: Damian Priest

    Grades: B

    Analysis: A chaotic main event. The crowd was totally into it. Priest earned the biggest win of his career. Punk cost McIntyre again in a title match. This story is as personal as it gets. Punk signalled at the post-show press conference that he is close to getting cleared for competition.

    Final Word

    Overall, a fun show from Scotland. It delivered to the expectations. The title change in the women’s Tag Team Championships was a shocker. CM Punk made a shocking appearance in the main event.
