Best and Worst of WWE Royal Rumble 2024

WWE Royal Rumble 2024 is over, and The WrestleMania Season is officially upon us. WWE Universe witnessed two title matches and two 30-superstar Royal Rumble matches. WWE Royal Rumble 2024 Results have always produced curiosity in the WWE Universe. Let’s discuss the best and worst of WWE Royal Rumble 2024.

Best | The Winners of Royal Rumble

WWE Royal Rumble 2024 Results

The traditional Royal Rumble matches have been won by deserving superstars this year. Cody Rhodes won the Men’s Royal Rumble match, while Bayley won the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Cody’s story has come full circle. He won the Royal Rumble last year but failed in his quest to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Since then, he has worked hard and earned all this. Fans and critics worldwide praise this decision, and everyone wants Cody to finish his story at WrestleMania.

On the other hand, Bayley deserved a win, too. She has lost a series of matches from the past year, putting over multiple superstars. Bayley created Damage CTRL and was the Role Model for Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai. With WWE’s story, Damage CTRL has mostly ignored Bayley, and Dakota is rising as a leader. A potential WrestleMania match is expected where Bayley will use her opportunity to challenge Iyo Sky for the Women’s Championship.

Best | The Future Stars

Royal Rumble is considered the home for surprise returns and debuts. This year, we saw the debut of Jade Cargill. She is a star in the making and will help raise the women’s division. Other than that, Naomi and Liv Morgan returned. Naomi delivered a great performance when she lasted over an hour. Also, we saw Roxanne Perez and Tiffany Stratton from NXT.

In the men’s match, there were significant performances by Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. From NXT, we saw Bron Breakker making an impact in the men’s Royal Rumble match. Gunther lasted until the final four yet again, which was expected from The Ring General. He will surely make it to the top one day. CM Punk had a great showing in his first match back in WWE after a decade.

Worst | No Legends Appearances

Surprise Returns in Men's Royal Rumble Match 2024

It was the worst one in the best and worst of WWE Royal Rumble 2024. Royal Rumble is a place for the legends of WWE to return and make a memorable moment with the new audience. This year, no such things happened. Trish Stratus, Michelle McCool, Lita, and some other legends were expected in the women’s match. However, none of them showed up.

The same goes for the women’s match, where the only surprise was Andrade’s return. He was eliminated earlier, too. Other than that, there was no Rock, John Cena, X-Pac, Kurt Angle, or others expected to appear. They used the stacked roster well, but legends are necessary for the traditional Royal Rumble matches.

Best | The Fatal 4-Way Match

WWE Royal Rumble 2024 Predictions

Roman Reigns, LA Knight, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton squared off in a fatal 4-way for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. This match was booked with some awesome spots. My favorite was when Styles tried to pin the stack of the other three competitors. Besides that, there was not much involvement from the Bloodline, and the match ended without Solo’s involvement. Roman looked dominant in what possibly would be his only match in 2024 until WrestleMania. Also, Styles, Knight, and Randy got their time to shine. LA Knight proved he can hang out with these veterans in the ring. These three deserve the best for WrestleMania.

Worst | The Finish to the US Title Match

Both competitors perform well, so it can come in the best part of our Best and Worst of WWE Royal Rumble 2024. The US Title match between Logan Paul and Kevin Owens ended in a disqualification when the referee caught the brass knuckles in Owens’ hand. This was a poor finish to an impressive match. It will only be meaningful if WWE uses this angle to further this feud.

Those were our picks on Best and Worst of WWE Royal Rumble 2024. Overall, it was an amazing show. The only missing thing was some shocking out-of-the-box returns.
