Colby Covington (17-4, 4KO)
American mixed martial artist Colby Covington is a professional UFC Fighter who started his UFC career in 2014. He is a former UFC Welterweight Champion and currently fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Welterweight class.
In 2018, Colbay won its first-ever major title in UFC, UFC Welterweight Championship.
Covington fought his entire career in the UFC as a Welterweight Fighter, which makes him the #4 in the UFC welterweight ranking in March 2024.
Tyron Woodley(19-7-1, 7KO)
American Professional MMA fighter Tyron Woodley made his UFC debut in 2013 in UFC 156. In his first fight, Tyron won in a first-round knockout against Jay Hieron. Tyron won his first-ever UFC title in 2016 against his countryman, Robbie Lawler. Tyron defended that title four times and, unfortunately, lost it against Kamaru Usman.
Tyron Woodley won the UFC Welterweight Championship 4 times. These achievements made Tyron reach in the elite class of UFC Welterweight Fighter. Woodley’s success in the Octagon has been largely attributed to his explosive quickness and strength.
Leon Edwards(22-3-1, 7KO)
English mixed martial artist Leon Edwards is a professional fighter. In 2014, Edwards made his professional debut in UFC against Claudio Silva but unfortunately lost that fight. After that fight, there was no look back for Leon and He is the current UFC Welterweight Champion he won in 2022. Edwards is regarded as one of the best fighters in the world because of his versatility, precision striking, and grit. He won that title against his countryman Colby Covington in UFC 296.
Pat Miletich (29-7-2, 7KO)
Pat Miletich was a sports expert before retiring as an American mixed martial fighter. He is well-known for his matches in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where he won the UFC 16 Welterweight Tournament and became the first UFC Welterweight Champion.
Miletich’s professional MMA career started in 1995. After winning multiple titles, he achieved significant triumphs, including his 1998 title as the first UFC Welterweight Champion and his 2001 title as the first UFC Lightweight Champion. In July 2014, he was admitted into the UFC Hall of Fame, which made him a tough UFC fighter in the Welterweight category.
Georges St. Pierre (26-2, 8KO)
One of the best fighters in UFC history, Georges St.pierre, is a Canadian actor and former professional Mixed Martial Artist. St-Pierre was a two-division UFC champion, taking home championships in the welterweight and middleweight classes.
On January 31, 2004, St-Pierre won his first UFC Fight by defeating Karo Parisyan at UFC 46. At UFC 50 in 2004, St-Pierre faced Matt Hughes for the UFC Welterweight Championship, unfortunately he that fight. GSP defeated Matt Hughes in their rematch at UFC 79 in December 2007 to win the interim UFC Welterweight Championship after he had recovered with a string of excellent wins.
Johny Hendricks (18-8, 8KO)
Former collegiate wrestler and mixed martial artist Johny Hendricks competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s middleweight and welterweight classes and the former UFC Welterweight Champion.
Hendricks was a formidable opponent for everyone in the welterweight division because of his skills and staying power. Hendricks, well-known for his comforting left hand, can finish fights with a single knock.
Hendricks battled weight gain, which impacted his consistency and output. Hendricks left mixed martial arts in 2018 following a string of defeats and difficulties maintaining weight but makes his name in the top welterweight fighter of UFC of all time.
Kamaru Usman(20-4, 9KO)
Kamaru Usman is a Nigerian-American mixed martial artist and former freestyle wrestler. He was the previous UFC Welterweight Champion and is a Middleweight competitor in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
On December 19, 2015, Usman made his UFC debut, winning his 1st fight by unanimous decision over Leon Edwards. At UFC 235 on March 2, 2019, Usman defeated Tyron Woodley to win the UFC Welterweight Championship. His performance demonstrated his excellent cardio, hitting, and fighting skills.
Carlos Condit (32-14, 15KO)
American mixed martial artist Carlos Condit was a former professional fighter. He was the previous UFC Welterweight Champion and a competitor in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Welterweight class. Another name for Carlos Condit is The Natural Born Killer, which shows his authority and possession over his opponent in the ring.
On April 1, 2009, Condit made his UFC debut against Martin Kampmann at UFC Fight Night 18. Condit lost that fight by split decision, but his explosive fighting style gained him recognition rapidly. In September 2021, Condit declared his retirement from all type of mixed martial arts competitions.
Matt Hughes(45-9, 21KO)
Matt Hughes is known as one of the best welterweight competitors in UFC history. On May 15, 1999, Hughes made his UFC debut at UFC 22, defeating Valeri Ignatov by unanimous decision. At UFC 34 on November 2, 2001, Hughes defeated Carlos Newton to win the UFC Welterweight Championship.
In May 2010, he was honored with a UFC Hall of Fame induction, a testament to his legendary position and contributions as a UFC fighter.
Robbie Lawler(30-16-1, 22KO)
Robert Glenn Lawler is an American former professional mixed martial artist who competed between 2001 and 2023. He’s a former UFC Welterweight Champion. Lawler made his professional MMA debut in 2001 at 19, and rapily gained a character for his knockout power and aggressive style.
Lawler fought Hendricks for the UFC Welterweight Championship at UFC 171 in March 2014 but lost after a close decision.
