Despite a strong start by Hristo Lakov (61) and Aravinda De Silva (59), Bulgaria managed only 170/7 in their 20 overs. The Czech Republic secured victory by 88 runs, and Sabawoon Davizi earned the ‘’player of the Match” honour for his outstanding all-around performance.

SOUTH AFRICA 259/4

Sri Lanka has stamped its name in T20 cricket history with some of the highest totals. Their T20 score is 260/6, against Kenya in 2007, claiming the Highest ever T20I total at the time. Individual brilliance shines through, with Sanath Jayasuriya holding the record of Sri Lanka’s highest individual score, 88 off 44 balls, and the most sixes in T20I innings. In the end, Sri Lanka registered a huge total of 260 and made it to the 10 highest T20 team scores list.

AUSTRALIA 263/3

On September 6, 2016, Pallekele, Australia made one of the top 10 highest T20 team scores after imposing 263-3 in 20 overs against Sri Lanka in the T20 International and made a new record for the highest total in the T20 internationals. The standout performer, Glenn Maxwell, made 145 off 65 balls with 14 fours and 9 sixes. In response, Sri Lanka only made 178 in 18.5 overs.

ENGLAND 267/3

On December 20, 2023, England secured their highest T20 total of 267-3 in 20 hours against the West Indies. Malaysian openers Syed Aziz (87 off 36 balls) and Virendeep Singh (67 off 38 balls) initiated a blazing start with an impressive 133-run partnership in 10.1 Overs.

CZECH REPUBLIC 278/4

The Czech Republic has a notable presence in T20 cricket, achieving the joint-highest T20I total globally, 278/4, against Turkey in the Continental Cup on August 30, 2019. Czech Republic batter Sudesh Wickramasekara’s 104 not out off 36 balls secured the highest individual score and the record for most sixes in a T20 innings (11).

Sumit Pokhriyal contributed the 2nd highest individual score for the Czech Republic with 79 off 52 balls. Czeck Ruplic registered its name twice in the top 10 highest T20 team scores list after scoring 278 runs in that match.

AFGHANISTAN 278/3

Afghanistan has stamped its name in T20 cricket annals with formidable performances. Afghanistan’s remarkable 278/3 against Ireland in 2019 marked the highest-ever T20I total globally. Hazartullah Zazai’s outstanding 162 not out off 62 balls and featuring a record-breaking 16 sixes in a single innings.
