10 Best Batsmen of the World Cup 2023

The Cricket World Cup 2023, a highly anticipated event by the cricketing fraternity, has ended. India’s Virat Kohli is leading as the 10 best batsmen of the World Cup 2023 with 765 runs in 11 innings. The Indian Veteran Batsman Virat Kohli was named in India’s squad for ICC World Cup 2023 for the fourth time in his career. He is the first in our 10 Best Batsmen of the World Cup 2023. With three hundred and six fifties, Kohli was named the World Cup’s top run scorer. He scored a total of 765 runs with a strike rate of 90.31. His highest score was 117 against New Zealand in the semi-final. Kohli was awarded Player of the Tournament.

He played extremely well, presenting India from the front. He accomplished many achievements under his name in the ICC World Cup 2023. Against Srilanka, he accomplished 1000 runs in a calendar year, the eighth time in Kohli’s career. It also broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar to hit most centuries in WC history. He has scored seven centuries in World Cup editions, achieved by Hitman against Afghanistan.

Quinton De Kock, the former Proteas captain and now former ODI wicketkeeper-batsman, had a great last ODI World Cup. He became the third highest run scorer of the ICC World Cup 2023, on the list of 10 best batsmen of the World Cup 2023. De Kock started his World Cup by hammering a great century in the first match against SL. He scored 4 centuries in this edition. His best figures are 174 of 140 against Bangladesh, for which he was awarded Man of the Match.

De Kock scored 594 runs with a strike rate of 107.02 that earned him a spot in 10 Best Batsmen of the World Cup 2023. Quinton De Kock became the first-ever South African batsman to score 500 runs in a single edition. He achieved this milestone against New Zealand. He scored 4 centuries in the tournament and became only the third Player in the world to do so. 

Rachin Ravindra (NZ)

He established himself as a key player for New Zealand and also wrote his name in the history as 10 Best Batsmen of the World Cup 2023. He made many, many records. Ravindra became the fourth Player to hit a century on debut. He became the youngest New Zealander to score a World Cup century at 23. Rachin Ravindra hit three centuries and two fifties in the tournament and became the 2nd youngest batter in World Cup history to complete 500 runs. He became the first batsman to score three centuries on the World Cup debut. Ravindra is a star in the making; fans have eyes on him as he is all set to embrace the cricket world.

Daryl Mitchell (NZ)

Daryl Mitchell is the batting all-rounder from New Zealand. He was named in the Kiwi Squad for the World Cup 2023. He ranked number 5 in the 10 best batsmen of World Cup 2023. Daryl Mitchell scored 552 runs with a strike rate 111.06 in the CWC 2023. He scored two centuries and two fifties. Mitchell’s best score in the ODI World Cup 2023 was 134 against India in the semi-final, but New Zealand couldn’t get off the mark anxiously.

David Warner also earned a place in 10 Best Batsmen of the World Cup 2023 in his last ODI World Cup Campaign. David Warner, the Australian batsman, played in the ODI World Cup for Australia. He played extraordinarily for the national team, making 535 runs in 11 innings with a strike rate of 108.29. He scored two hundred and two fifties. His best score for CWC 2023 is 163 off 124 balls, getting a Man of the Match award. He scored a century against the Netherlands, too. Shreyas Iyer (IND)

KL Rahul (IND)

Following a successful Asia Cup, the wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul was added to the Indian Squad for World Cup 2023. He started his World Cup match against Australia, missing a century from a mere three runs. He scored 97 runs against Australia. He managed to score only a century in the tournament against the Netherlands. He scored 452 runs in 10 innings with a strike rate of 90.76. His highest score in the tournament is 102. He scored two half-centuries, both against Australia.

Rassie van der Dussen (SA)

The Proteas team could not qualify for the final but Dussen got a place in 10 Best Batsmen of the World Cup 2023. Rassie van der Dussen got selected for the proteas squad to represent South Africa at the ICC World Cup 2023. He started his World Cup with a bang, scoring a century against Sri Lanka. His highest score was 133 runs off 118 balls against New Zealand, and he was named the Player of the match. Dussen scored 448 runs in 10 innings, with two centuries and two fifties. He got two Player of the Match awards in the tournament against New Zealand and Afghanistan. 

Mitchell Marsh (AUS)

He scored two centuries and one fifty in the tournament. His highest score was 177* off 132 balls against Bangladesh, and he was awarded Player of the Match. He ranks as the last of the 10 best batsmen of World Cup 2023. Marsh managed to hit 43 fours and 21 sixes in 10 innings. He made 441 runs in 10 innings with a strike rate of 107.56.
