The first-ever two-night WWE SummerSlam is in the books. The show delivered on Night One with Seth Rollins’ shocking MITB cash-in. On Night Two, Cody Rhodes challenged John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship in a Street Fight match. Let’s review Night Two’s action and look at WWE SummerSlam 2025 Results.

WWE SummerSlam 2025 Results
Naomi (c) vs Iyo Sky vs Rhea Ripley – Women’s World Championship
The show started with WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H, welcoming everyone to the Biggest Party of the Summer. The action-packed night kicked off with the triple threat for the women’s world championship. The three competitors made their entrance. Naomi was played to the ring by her father, who’s a guitarist.
Ripley and Sky began attacking Naomi, and Sky followed up with a dropkick. Naomi used her cunning, causing Rhea to inadvertently hit Sky and connected with a cross-body onto both opponents. Naomi targeted Sky with snapmares and a front suplex. The champion planted Sky with a draping X-Factor and Ripley with a blockbuster for close falls. Ripley delivered a series of short-arm clotheslines and a slam on Naomi. Sky landed a springboard dropkick on Naomi and followed it up with a 619.
Ripley and Sky faced off. Rhea landed an electric chair drop for a two-count. Iyo responded with a poisonrana. Naomi returned just in time to break the pin. Rhea sidelined Naomi and caught Iyo again. The Eradicator executed a Razor’s Edge followed by a powerbomb. Naomi pulled her out to prevent pinfall. Ripley and Naomi fought at ringside, and the Genius of the Sky landed an Asai Moonsault on both. Sky unleashed multiple Bullet Train Attacks on both opponents.
Naomi hit a split-legged moonsault on Ripley. Sky landed an Over the Moonsault on Ripley. Naomi quickly caught Iyo with a full nelson bomb for a two-count. Naomi and Sky exchanged punches and uppercuts. Ripley nailed Naomi with the Riptide, but Sky broke up the pin just in time. Sky powerbombed Rhea onto Naomi outside the ring. Back inside, Sky climbed to the top rope. Ripley caught her and delivered a Riptide from the top. Naomi rushed in and rolled Ripley for a three-count.
Winner: Naomi
Grades: B
Analysis: It was a fantastic match to kick off Night Two of SummerSlam, just like it was on Night Two of WrestleMania 41. These three women delivered powerful performances. It was a classic match with a perfect ending. Naomi needed a win here, and she got that. On the other hand, the story of Ripley never beating Sky continues.
Six-Pack Tag Team TLC Match – WWE Tag Team Championships
The participating teams were The Wyatt Sicks (c), DIY, Street Profits, Fraxiom, Motor City Machine Guns, and a team of Andrade and Rey Fenix. The Hardy Boyz and Dudleys were in attendance. Every team momentarily joined forces to take out the champions Wyatt Sicks. DIY retrieved a ladder, but MCMG quickly interrupted with a double baseball slide. A flurry of suicide dives by Fraxiom followed. Fraxiom took out everyone with superkicks and dropkicks.
The Wyatt Sicks returned to the action. Gacy planted Frazer with a Death Valley Driver before climbing the ladder. The Street Profits launched Gacy onto a ladder. Andrade and Fenix landed Street Profits with stereo dropkicks. They followed with stereo Three Amigos suplexes. DIY unleashed chair shots on everyone while Ford dived over the corner post to wipe out Fraxiom and Lumis.
Gargano delivered a DDT to Gacy through a table. Lumis nailed Ford with a diving leg drop through another table. Axiom hit Dawkins with a top-rope Spanish Fly through two tables. Candice LeRae, B-Fab, and Nikki Cross tried to assist their teams. The chaos ended with LeRae going through a table at the ringside. Multiple teams scrambled up for the gold, but Uncle Howdy appeared and toppled ladders one after another.
Howdy sent Axiom, Ford, and DIY crashing through stacks of tables below. Howdy applied the Mandible Claw on Frazer and Fenix. Andrade hit Howdy with a sunset flip powerbomb onto a ladder bridge. Lumis and Gacy executed a suplex/powerbomb combo on Fenix. Gacy climbed the ladder and unhooked the titles.
Winners: The Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy)
Grades: A
Analysis: It was an absolutely insane TLC match for the Tag Team Championships. Hardyz and Dudleyz must be proud of the new era of tag team wrestling. The Wyatt Sicks retained, but the winners were secondary here. It was always about the match quality, and this one delivered to the fullest.
Becky Lynch (c) vs Lyra Valkyria – Women’s Intercontinental Championship
It was a no-disqualification match. Becky Lynch has introduced a new theme song, which sounds like a low-key banger. Lynch slapped Valkyria, sparking a flurry of stiff strikes between the two. Becky sidestepped off a Wrecking Ball Dropkick at the ringside and slams Lyra into the commentary table multiple times. Lynch retrieved a kendo stick from under the ring, only for Valkyria to counter with a crowbar. Both women couldn’t use their weapons, but Valkyria landed a cross-body block.
Lyra dropkicked The Man off a commentator’s chair. The champion used a chain and a kendo stick to assault the challenger and hit a side leg sweep for a near fall. Lynch smashed Lyra’s ribs with a golf stick. Lynch grabbed a toolbox and used a zip tie and wrench to her advantage. Lynch tied Lyra’s hands and hit back-to-back Bexploders, followed by stiff kendo stick shots. Becky followed it up with a diving leg drop.
Valkyria landed a spin kick, a missile dropkick and a moonsault for a close fall despite her hands being tied. Valkyria used a fire extinguisher and vanished under the ring. When she reemerged, she was free from the zip tie. Lyra beat Lynch with the stick and delivered a fisherman’s suplex. Valkyria avoided Becky’s Manhandle Slam and nailed Nightwing off the steps to the floor. Lynch retook control and grabbed a crowbar.
Bayley appeared and snatched it from her. Lynch pleaded with Bayley to take Valkyria out, blaming her for all her problems. Bayley refused and sent Becky into the barricade. Valkyria crushed Becky with a diving leg drop through the table. Back in the ring, Lynch raked Lyra’s eyes. Bayley jumped on the apron with her fist wrapped in the chain. She swung, only for Lynch to duck as the chain accidentally hit Valkyria instead. Lynch capitalised with a Manhandle Slam for the victory.
Winner: Becky Lynch
Grades: B+
Analysis: It was a hard-hitting and very physical battle. Lyra Valkyria lost and therefore can’t challenge for the title until Becky is champion. Bayley’s involvement was expected, but she didn’t turn completely on Valkyria. They showed it as an accidental attack, but Lyra won’t take it lightly. Bayley and Lyra’s feud is ongoing while Lynch moves on to a new challenger.
Solo Sikoa (c) vs Jacob Fatu – United States Championship (Steel Cage Match)
The two men traded blows to start the match. Most of it did not affect Fatu. Sikoa delivered two brutal cage splashes before mocking Fatu and delivering a senton. Sikoa slammed Fatu’s head into the cage, hitting a running hip toss. Solo tried to escape through the cage door several times, but Jacob refused. Fatu landed a superkick and a clothesline. Jacob delivered an Impaler DDT and two double jump moonsaults for a near fall.
MFT members Tonga Loa, JC Mateo, and Talla Tonga arrived at the ringside, surrounding the cage to block Fatu’s escape. Jimmy Uso rushed down to help, taking out Tonga and JC with superkicks. However, Talla slammed Uso into the cage and threw him over the commentary desk. Back inside the ring, Sikoa delivered a Samoan Spike for a close fall. Solo attempted to climb the cage, but Fatu pulled him down. Mateo and Loa tried to climb the cage but got knocked down by Jacob.
Talla handcuffed Fatu to the cage. Sikoa tried to escape through the door, but Fatu broke free and prevented it. Talla Tonga kicked the door into Fatu’s head, allowing Sikoa to win the match by escaping the cage. After the match, Jimmy returned and laid out Mateo with a superkick. Uso locked Mateo and Loa inside the cage with Fatu. The Samoan Werewolf landed a moonsault block off the top of the cage to knock out Tonga and Mateo.
Winner: Solo Sikoa
Grades: C-
Analysis: It was a dull match. Only the last few moments were exciting and got the crowd going. There was not much action from Sikoa and Fatu. Solo has retained the title, but Jacob got the overall upper hand with a stunning moonsault off the top of the cage.
Dominik Mysterio (c) vs AJ Styles – WWE Intercontinental Championship
AJ Styles’ entrance was a tribute to Eddie Guerrero as he appeared in a low rider with his son. Mysterio evaded the ring, and Styles chased him. AJ delivered a backbreaker back in the ring. Styles followed up with an atomic drop and a clothesline. Mysterio avoided a plancha and hit a baseball slide. Dominik landed a slingshot senton bomb for a one-count. The Phenomenal One bounced back with a diving tornado DDT. Styles unleashed his trademark combo of strikes, ending with a lariat.
AJ delivered a corner splash and an ushigoroshi for a two-count. Styles hit a Pele Kick and prepared for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Mysterio dodged and landed a Michinoku Driver for a near fall. Mysterio delivered Two Amigos, but AJ countered the third with a brainbuster. Dom responded with a dropkick and a 619. AJ locked in the Calf Crusher, and Mysterio barely reached the bottom rope to force the break.
Mysterio made the referee invest in fixing the turnbuckle pad. In the meantime, Dom pulled a steel chair and smashed it to the mat before sending it to AJ, pulling a trick out of Eddie’s playbook. Styles quickly wrapped the chair around his head and lay on the ground. The referee turned back and was confused. Styles again applied the Calf Crusher, but Mysterio’s boot slipped, which was a callback to one of Eddie’s matches. With the referee distracted, Dom used the boot to knock Styles down and landed a Frog Splash for the win.
Winner: AJ Styles
Grades: B-
Analysis: It was a decent match for the Intercontinental Title. There were several throwbacks to Eddie Guerrero’s matches, which looked good. Styles was our winner in SummerSlam Predictions. However, Dom retained the title. It might be due to his upcoming appearances and match at AAA’s mega event.
John Cena (c) vs Cody Rhodes – Undisputed WWE Title “Street Fight”
John Cena made his babyface entrance. The lights were on, and Cena talked to Stu before running down the ramp. As the bell rang, a loud “Cena” chant echoed through the arena, as this is the final SummerSlam match for the GOAT. The action quickly spilt to the ringside, where Cena and Rhodes traded turns to smash each other into the steel steps. NBA star Tyrese Haliburton was in the front row, and Cena grabbed his crutch to assault Cody. Rhodes scoop slammed John onto the steps.
Cody landed a Disaster Kick on the apron, followed by a side leg sweep for a two-count. Cena bounced back and launched his “Five Moves of Doom” sequence. Cody avoided an AA and countered with a Bionic Elbow and a Cody Cutter for a close fall. Cena finally landed the AA but only for a near fall. Rhodes escaped the STF and delivered a moonsault block and a Disaster Kick. Rhodes hit a second Cody Cutter and a piledriver for another near fall.
Cena landed a Code Red on the floor and an AA through one of the commentary tables. Back in the ring, Cody hit a Cross Rhodes for a two-count. Cena prevented a top-rope superplex and hit a diving leg drop, followed by another AA, but Rhodes again kicked out. Cena brought a table into the ring. Rhodes responded with a DDT. The action went into the crowd and on the stage. Cena delivered an AA on the stage.
Back inside, Rhodes hit the Cross Rhodes again for a two-count. Rhodes, visibly desperate, used the ropes and exposed turnbuckle to batter Cena. Rhodes escaped the STF and hit a sequence of three Cross Rhodes. Yet, Cena still kicked out. Rhodes picked the title belt to use, but Cena delivered a pair of AAs before hitting an Avalanche AA from the middle rope for a near fall. Cena positioned a table and attempted the Super AA.
Cody bounced back and delivered a Cody Cutter through the table. Rhodes saluted and delivered one final Cross Rhodes for the win. After the match, it was a heartfelt moment of respect, where Cena presented the Undisputed WWE Title to the American Nightmare and raised his hand. Rhodes left the ring, and Cena had his moment with the fans, where they chanted “Thank you, Cena”.
When the night seemed over, Brock Lesnar returned. The Beast stormed to the ring in a jacket and a cowboy hat. Lesnar delivered a devastating F5 to Cena. The Beast roared and put his cowboy hat back. The fans were absolutely stunned as the show came to an end.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
Grades: A
Analysis: It was an all-time match in the main event of SummerSlam. Cena gave his all in his last-ever SummerSlam match. It was one of Cena’s best performances of his career. Cody Rhodes is back on top of WWE and got his flowers from the Greatest Of All Time. Brock Lesnar is back in WWE and brought carnage to the 17-time World Champion. The landscape of WWE just changed, and things got more exciting for the coming months of Cena’s Farewell Tour.
