On July 25, WWE SmackDown aired from Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. It was a tribute show in memory of Hulk Hogan. The build to SummerSlam matches continued on the show with Jelly Roll making an appearance. Let’s talk about WWE SmackDown July 25 Results.
A Tribute to Hulk Hogan

The show opened with a special segment in memory of Hulk Hogan. The locker room was out on the stage alongside several legends. Triple H honoured Hogan and mentioned how he captivated millions of fans and made wrestling what it is today. A 10-bell salute was given, followed by a tribute video of Hulk Hogan’s Iconic Moments. The fans chanted “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan’s name. Jimmy Hart was visibly in tears while remembering the Hulkster.
Randy Orton and Jelly Roll stand tall

Logan Paul came down in his city of Cleveland. He said it was good to be back home, but the crowd booed him. Logan then started to disrespect the crowd. He said that he made this city, and the people only hate him because they couldn’t make it out. Before he could talk much, Jelly Roll made his way to the ring. Jelly cut his entrance and started insulting Logan. Roll called Paul a silver spoon kid who never struggled. He said that Logan inspires kids to become assholes.
Jelly aimed to pack Logan in a body bag at SummerSlam. He said he would get in the ring because he had been a WWE fan his whole life, and WWE represented him and guys like him. He called Logan soft and a punk ass bitch. Drew McIntyre joined Logan Paul in the ring. Roll told them that he was not there alone. He started singing Randy’s theme song as the Viper made his entrance. Orton didn’t talk and laid out McIntyre on the barricade at the ringside. In the ring, Jelly delivered a couple of shoulder tackles and a Bossman Slam to Logan.
Grades: B-
Analysis: It was a fine segment with four tag team competitors at SummerSlam. Jelly Roll did a decent job while Logan Paul played a brilliant villain. Ransy Orton and Drew McIntyre always bring a fun TV time. It was a good way to switch moods after that touching Hulk Hogan tribute.
Alexa Bliss vs Roxanne Perez

Charlotte Flair was in Alexa’s corner, and Raquel Rodriguez was in Roxanne’s. Perez slapped Bliss, but the Goddess replied with a slam to the mat. Alexa landed a cannonball to the outside. Raquel confronted Alexa, but Charlotte was there. Bliss hit a dragon screw and prepared for the Sister Abigail DDT. Perez caused a distraction for the referee as Rodriguez used cheap tactics on Bliss. This distraction allowed Roxanne to land a moonsault for a two-count.
Flair didn’t take kindly to the interruption and sent Rodriguez over the barricade. Bliss used the distraction and landed a DDT. As Alexa climbed to the top rope for Twisted Bliss, Raquel woke up and hit a big boot on Charlotte. Bliss saved Flair from a Tejana Bomb with a Twisted Bliss on Rodriguez. Back in the ring, Perez rolled Bliss and sneakily used the ropes to her advantage to get the win.
Winner: Roxanne Perez
Grades: C
Analysis: It was a decent battle between Bliss and Perez. It looks like they are building towards a moment at SummerSlam with Bliss and Flair. Roxanne got a big win, and Raquel getting booked better is a great call.
Jade Cargill vs Chelsea Green

Backstage, Jade Cargill aimed to become champion at SummerSlam in a short interview with Cathy Kelley. Shortly after, Chelsea Green told the Secret Hervice to get her a coffee. In the meantime, Green talked to Cathy and said that she deserved a spot at SummerSlam instead of Jade. Chelsea called her slow and stupid. Cathy pointed to the back, and there was Jade Cargill standing. Cargill punched Green and lifted her on shoulders as she approached the ring.
The match began, and Jade landed a Pump Kick. The Secret Hervice arrived as well. Jade hit a fallaway slam and a chokeslam. In the end, Cargill delivered Jaded for the victory. The Secret Hervice attacked Jade after the match. Tiffanny Stratton came out for the save. Jade had Tiffany’s Women’s Championship belt, which she hesitated to give back, but eventually returned.
Winner: Jade Cargill
Grades: C-
Analysis: It was an unnecessary segment, and WWE has no clue what to do with this Cargill-Stratton story. This segment was to give them some TV time before SummerSlam. Both are babyfaces which stops the creative from multiple ideas.
Cody Rhodes’ Promo

Cody Rhodes started the promo with a tribute speech to Hulk Hogan as he thanked him for everything he did for the wrestling industry. Rhodes turned his attention to his Street Fight against John Cena at SummerSlam. Cody said that it would be pure violence in the match. The American Nightmare noted that he didn’t want to fight John Cena, who runs away from matches.
Rhodes said that he wants to fight the real John Cena. Cody wanted Cena to come out with hustle and loyalty while talking to Stu, and the title was appropriately put around his waist. He said that the story between him and Cena had meaning, and only Cena can answer that.
Grades: B
Analysis: It was a passionate and solid Cody Rhodes promo. He is truly the workhorse of WWE and is carrying this story on his back in the absence of the WWE Champion, John Cena. Cena and Rhodes will collide in a Street Fight at SummerSlam.
Jacob Fatu vs The Miz

Miz told Fatu they had unfinished business and challenged him to a match in The A-Lister’s hometown. In the match, Fatu began with a corner splash and a clothesline. Solo Sikoa made his entrance with MFTs to distract Jacob. This allowed Miz to send Fatu into the ring post. Jacob landed a senton and a running hip attack. Tonga Loa and JC Mateo pulled Miz out of the ring, but Fatu took out all three men with a suicide dive. Tala Tonga charged towards Fatu, who moved away, and the big man crashed into the ring post.
Solo got superkicked by the Samoan Werewolf. Back in the ring, Jacob landed a pop-up Samoan Drop for the win. As expected, the MFTs attacked Fatu after the match, and Jimmy Uso made the save with a steel chair. However, the chair did not affect Tala as he delivered a big boot to Jimmy. Jacob laid out everyone, but Tala proved strong for him, too. In the end, Solo Sikoa raised the US Championship over the body of Jacob Fatu.
Winner: Jacob Fatu
Grades: B
Analysis: It was a fun segment to watch. The Miz got TV time in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Jacob Fatu was going to win this match. It is obvious that the distractions won’t stop in the SummerSlam Steel Cage match. Let’s see what the Samoan Werewolf brings to stop Solo Sikoa with MFTs to reclaim his United States Championship.
The Wyatt Sicks (c) vs Andrade and Rey Fenix – WWE Tag Team Championships

Before the match, DIY told Street Profits to stay out of the way as they have a plan for Wyatt Sicks tonight. Andrade and Rey Fenix got their match, which they earned last week. The bell rang, and Andrade and Rey Fenix dominated the tag team champions in the early minutes of the match. Andrade delivered a snap suplex to Gacy, followed by Three Amigos.
Andrade nailed Gacy with a dragon screw and connected with his signature double knees in the corner for a near fall. Andrade landed a spinning elbow to Gacy as Fenix took out Lumis with a splash. Andrade delivered The Message on Gacy, but Nikki Cross pulled the referee out of the ring, leading to a no-contest. Chaos erupted after the match as all the teams gathered in the ring.
Erik Rowan took out Fraxiom and Motor City Machine Guns. DIY and Street Profits arrived as well, and the action continued. Fraxion landed stereo dives. Angelo Dawkins took out everyone with a huge splash, followed by Montez Ford’s stunning senton. Nick Aldis made a TLC Match including all these teams for the tag titles at SummerSlam. The brawl continued as the show closed.
Result: No Contest
Grades: B+
Analysis: It was a wild ending in the main event of SmackDown. The tag team division did a commendable job in 2025 on the blue brand and deserved this spot at SummerSlam. This match is no doubt going to be a banger and the craziest match on the Biggest Party of Summer.
Overall, it was a decent show. The tribute to Hulk Hogan was very touching. Cody Rhodes delivered a compelling promo. Jelly Roll stole the show, and the main event was fully dramatic. The Road to the first-ever 2-Night SummerSlam event is going on at a quick pace. What are your thoughts on WWE SmackDown July 25 Results? Did you enjoy the show?
