Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, hosted WWE SmackDown on February 21, 2025. The much-awaited segment on the show was The Rock’s return on the blue brand. Other than that, Jimmy Uso battled Drew McIntyre in a singles match. A major six-man tag match involving The Bloodline and much more. Let’s talk about WWE SmackDown February 21 Results.
Jimmy Uso vs Drew McIntyre

Nick Aldis pulled Cody Rhodes out of the six-man tag match later tonight. The Rock told him to do so as he wanted to meet Cody one-on-one in the ring. The camera cuts to the ring where Jimmy Uso battled Drew McIntyre. Uso started with intensity and landed a top rope cross-body. At ringside, Drew got the control and tossed Jimmy into the barricade and steel steps.
Back in the ring, McIntyre delivered a snap suplex for a two-count. Uso gathered air and hit a Samoan Drop, followed by a Superkick and a Spear for a near fall. McIntyre countered with a Glasgow Kiss. In the end, Uso countered an Alabama Slam into a rollup victory. McIntyre attacked after the match and laid out Jimmy with a vicious Claymore.
Winner: Jimmy Uso
Grades: B-
Analysis: It was a decent match to start the proceedings on SmackDown. Jimmy Uso got a big win here, and it looks like he will be getting something major on the WrestleMania card. Rumors say that Big Jim might get his hands on his first singles championship at WrestleMania this year. We also got the news that The Final Boss will confront the Undisputed WWE Champion later on the show.
Backstage
Solo Sikoa entered in an SUV. Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga confronted him. Solo said that what happened last week was an accident. Fatu told him that he wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t an accident. Sikoa left for a chat with Nick Aldis. Check out WWE 2K24 Locker Codes.
The Miz and Carmelo Hayes vs R-Truth and LA Knight

LA Knight was the surprise tag partner of Truth in this match. Truth hilariously introduced Knight as the local legend, even though Knight didn’t belong to New Orleans. In the match, Truth dropped Hayes with a hip toss and tagged in Knight. The Megastar delivered a swinging neckbeaker to Carmelo for a two-count. Truth tagged back in and applied an armbar. In a moment, Truth tried to tag Miz in, but Hayes laid him out.
Everyone was taking down each other in an abruptive moment. Later, Hayes did the U can’t see me sign and delivered a Five Knuckle Shuffle to Knight. Truth applied an STF on Hayes. The US Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura, attacked Knight at ringside. In the ring, Melo landed the First 28 on Truth for the win.
Winner: Carmelo Hayes and The Miz
Grades: C
Analysis: It was a fun match, but looked like a filler on the show. R-Truth shenanigans always come out of nowhere. WWE is still doing Knight vs Nakamura which have become boring now.
Tiffany Stratton vs Candice LeRae

Tiffany Stratton, the WWE Women’s Champion, walked to the ring. She talked about how everyone’s obsessed with Tiffany Stratton. She said that she would take her rightful spot from Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania. Nia Jax and Candice LeRae entered and vowed to destroy Tiffany at the Elimination Chamber. The tensions escalated but the referee prevented any physicality.
Back from the break, the match was already in progress. Tiffany Stratton delivered powerful shoulder blocks. Charlotte Flair’s music suddenly hit, and the Queen took a seat at the commentary table. Both competitors tried rollup pins. Tiffany climbed the ropes and crashed down onto Candice and Nia Jax with a huge moonsault to the outside.
LeRae landed a dropkick from the top. Later, Stratton attempted a Swanton Bomb, but Candice moved out of the way. Nia tried to interfere, but Tiffany handled her at ringside. Stratton hit an Alabama Slam on LeRae onto the barricade. Back in the ring, Tiffy landed the Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the victory.
After the match, Nia and Candice continued to attack. Trish Stratus came out for the save. LeRae and Jax stacked up Tiffany and Trish. Nia landed an Annihilator on both women. Flair entered the ring and pointed to the WrestleMania sign.
Winner: Tiffany Stratton
Grades: B-
Analysis: The match was ok but the post-match angle was necessary. It is good to see Jax getting booked even after losing the title. Stratton and Stratus will face Jax and LeRae at the Elimination Chamber.
Liv Morgan vs Naomi

The match didn’t happen, as Morgan and Rodriguez attacked Belair and Naomi before the bell. Liv delivered an Oblivion to Naomi. Liv and Raquel left as referees got involved. It was a short segment, mainly to hype the tag team match between the two teams on the upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw.
The Final Boss is back!

The Rock had a more colorful entrance with a new remix of his theme song. He had a microphone in hand and said that finally The Rock has come back to New Orleans. Rock followed it by saying that WrestleMania has come back to New Orleans. The Rock made the official announcement for WrestleMania 42 from the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on April 11 and 12, 2026. As the fans were cheering, The Final Boss turned the tides and called New Orleans the largest STD trailer trash he had ever seen.
The Rock then called out Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare made his way to the ring and hugged The Rock. The Brahma Bull praised Cody as a great champion. The Rock said that he’s a part of the TKO Board of Directors and he’s most powerful. Rock wanted Rhodes to be his champion. Rock said that Cody could be his brother. He called Cody special as he got away after slapping The Rock last year and also changed the original WrestleMania main event.
The Rock said that he wants Cody to be on his level. In fact, The Great One was offering that he would fulfill all the dreams of Cody and his family if The American Nightmare agreed to be his champion. Rhodes thought that Rock wanted his championship but Rocky made it clear that he wants Cody’s soul. The Rock gave Cody time until Elimination Chamber to think about his proposal.
Grades: A
Analysis: It was a confusing segment and created new questions rather than answering the previous ones. It looks like The Rock wants Cody to do what he says. In return, The Final Boss will fulfill Cody’s wishes using his TKO powers. It looked like that but we have to wait till Elimination Chamber next Saturday in Toronto where Cody Rhodes will have to answer to The Rock.
DIY (c) vs Pretty Deadly – WWE Tag Team Championships

The champions dominated in the early go. Kit Wilson shifted the momentum as he delivered a flying elbow to Gargano. Before further action was unleashed, Street Profits hit the ring and took out Pretty Deadly. Later, Motor City Machine Guns interfered as well. The match was thrown out as Street Profits stood tall in the end.
Grades: B-
Analysis: It looked like a repeated segment, as these teams have been doing this for the past couple of months. It seems like there will be a multi-team match at WrestleMania 41 for the tag team championships.
Braun Strowman and Damian Priest vs Solo Sikoa and Jaco Fatu

This match’s scenario changed multiple times during the show. First, it was changed to a tag team from six-man s The Rock gave orders to pull out Cody. Later, Jacob Fatu said that Solo Sikoa will go with him in the match instead of Tama Tonga. Solo and Priest started things off but soon Strwoman and Fatu tagged in. Braun laid out Jacob with a big boot. However, a distraction by Tonga allowed Fatu to take advantage.
Fatu delivered a headbutt and a shoulder block to the Monster. Sikoa and Fatu targeted Strwoman’s leg. Solo and Jacob delivered back-to-back hip attacks in the corner. Fatu went for a second hip attack, but Strowman caught him and landed a spinebuster. Priest tagged in and hit a spinning kick on Fatu. Solo tagged in and delivered a superkick. Priest came back stronger on Solo and slammed him face-first to the canvas.
Damian lifted Solo for the Razor’s Edge, but a distraction from Tama allowed Solo to slam Priest on the mat. Priest sidestepped off a superkick from Fatu, and the kick accidentally hit Solo. Strowman laid out Fatu and Tonga at ringside. In the ring, Priest pinned Sikoa after a South of Heaven chokeslam.
Winners: Damian Priest and Braun Strowman
Grades: B+
Analysis: It was a fine match to close out Friday Night SmackDown. The match was mainly booked to raise tensions within the Bloodline and it did the work pretty well. It looks like Solo and Fatu won’t be together for long now.
