WWE’s International Tour continued as WWE RAW happened from O2 Arena in London, England on March 31. The show featured a face-to-face confrontation between John Cena and Cody Rhodes. Gunther faced Jimmy Uso. Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley battled for the Women’s World Championship with Bianca Belair as the special guest referee. Let’s take a look at everything that happened on WWE RAW March 31 Results.
John Cena and Cody Rhodes’ War of Words

The show kicked off with 16-time World Champion John Cena making his entrance with a chorus of “John Cena Sucks” chant. Right after him, Cody Rhodes entered. The American Nightmare cut off Cena and said that he’ll do the talking for him now. Rhodes dropped the lines that Cena would say to him. He talked about Stardust and how he was getting booed in the company he created. Cody questioned on behalf of every fan and asked Cena why he gave up.
Cena got on the mic and said that he wouldn’t cook Cody, he’d bury him like he has been doing for years as everyone said. John claimed that he didn’t bury talents. He was the only talent while all others were mediocre. Cena said that Rhodes is nothing without his suit and entrance music. According to John, Cody is just riding his coattails. Cody is nothing himself and tries acting like all the superstars he loved once. Cody asked Cena about selling out to The Rock and called him a piece of shit.
Cena said that he had worked harder to get here. He turned garbage into gold. Nobody was able to put him to the ground even with their best shot. Cena told Cody, “See you at WrestleMania champ” and left. As he was on the apron, Cody said that the crowd never chanted “You can’t wrestle” to him. Cena got back in the ring and had a swing on Rhodes. The Champion ducked and delivered a Cross Rhodes. Cody stood over John and pointed towards the WrestleMania sign while holding the Undisputed WWE Title.
Grades: A
Analysis: Wow! It was a banger promo segment, equally intense. John Cena and Cody Rhodes had a verbal exchange where both men had valid points. The crowd was red-hot during the whole segment, making it more memorable. It looks great to see Cena talking about things he’s been criticized about throughout his career as a face. Cena didn’t talk about The Rock, and it still is a mystery. It looks like it won’t be addressed before Rock’s next appearance.
New Day vs New Catch Republic

Tyler Bate returned from injury and New Catch Republic is back in England. New Catch Republic dominated early on with Dunne landing a clothesline while Bate delivered a rolling senton. Later, Tyler laid out New Day with a somersault plancha to the outside. After the break, Xavier executed a dropkick on Pete. Kofi followed it with a senton splash and double ax handle for a two-count.
Bate entered after a hot tag and hit an exploder suplex before doing the airplane spin. New Catch Republic delivered the clothesline/German Suplex combination on Kingston for a nearfall as Woods broke the pinfall. Kofi delivered SOS to Dunne for a nearfall of his own. In the end, New Day landed Daybreak on Dunne for the victory. After the match, the War Raiders confronted New Day on the ramp.
Winner: New Day
Grades: B-
Analysis: This was a solid tag team match. New Catch Republic returned to a decent reaction from UK crowd, and they can be a good team in the coming weeks. At WrestleMania, New Day will go for the WWE Tag Team Championships. It will be interesting to see if more teams get added.
Gunther vs Jimmy Uso

The Ring General started strongly, delivering chops at ringside and whipping Jimmy to the barricade. Uso fought back with a backbody drop and a suicide dive. Jimmy landed a superplex and an uso splash for a two-count. Gunther didn’t hold back for long and delivered a vicious chop followed by a lariat. Uso slapped Gunther and landed a superkick and a German Suplex. Gunther delivered a Tyrannosaurus Dropkick and a Powerbomb. While pinning, The Ring General pulled up Jimmy before three as he wanted to punish him more.
Gunther delivered a big boot and a lariat but still didn’t want the pinfall. Gunther applied the sleeperhold and Jimmy passed out. After the match, The World Heavyweight Champion applied the sleeper again and Jey Uso came out for the save. Gunther left for a moment but attacked from behind as Jey was helping Jimmy. Gunther laid out the security officials and delivered a powerbomb to one of them on the steel steps.
Gunther zip-tied Jey to the rope and attacked Jimmy with the championship belt. The Ring General delivered a powerbomb to a bloodied Jimmy Uso and applied the sleeper hold. Gunther licked Jim’s blood and spit it out. Officials somehow got Gunther out of the ring. Jey had Jimmy’s bloody face in his hands while Gunther looked intensely on the ramp.
Winner: Gunther
Grades: B+
Analysis: It was an average match, but the post-match angle was exactly what this feud needed. Gunther displayed his vicious side, and Jey is as underdog as ever. The story has freshened up a bit and will work till WrestleMania 41.
Bron Breakker and Penta vs Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio

Penta and Breakker weren’t looking on the same page before the match. In the match, Penta delivered a hurricanrana to Dominik followed by a military press slam by Breakker. Balor tagged in, only to be powerslammed by the IC Champion. Penta delivered a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker to Dom and landed a tope con hilo to the outside. Back from the break, Judgment Day got the upper hand. Mysterio landed a snapmare on Penta followed by Balor’s slingshot stomp.
Mysterio executed the Three Amigos but Penta countered the third one into a slingshot backstabber. Breakker tagged in and delivered a double suplex to both the opponents. In the end, Mysterio cunningly sent Penta into Breakker’s path. In this way, Breakker speared Penta. Balor landed a Cour de Grace on Penta for the win. Later, Penta was angry at Breakker backstage and called the spear as intentional.
Winners: Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio
Grades: B
Analysis: It was a decent tag team match. Penta suffered his first-ever pinfall loss on RAW. A triple-threat match looks inevitable for the IC Title at WrestleMania. During the match, commentators mentioned Rey Fenix’s debut on upcoming SmackDown.
AJ Styles and Logan Paul meet (WWE RAW March 31 Results)

AJ Styles came out and called out Logan Paul to come out. Logan entered and did his promo as a rich man. He forgave Styles about the attack in MSG. Styles asked for forgiveness as well before calling Logan the biggest douchebag to ever step foot in a WWE ring. Styles wanted a battle right there. Logan refused and said that the broke and poor citizens of London couldn’t afford him. Logan suggested a big money match and pointed to the WrestleMania sign. The segment ended with Logan hitting a Paul-veriser.
Grades: B-
Analysis: A fun segment between Logan Paul and AJ Styles. Logan plays the heel character well and does good crowd work. A great WrestleMania match is loading, and we can’t wait for it to unfold.
Iyo Sky (c) vs Rhea Ripley – WWE Women’s World Championship

Bianca Belair served as the special guest referee for our main event of the night where Iyo Sky defended her Women’s World Title against Rhea Ripley. The match began at a quick pace with both competitors going for quick pinfalls and having tensions with Belair. Iyo landed a dropkick but Rhea replied with a clothesline. After the commercial break, Ripley argued with Belair. Sky took advantage and landed a pendulum kick followed by a missile dropkick.
Sky performed a suicide dive to the outside and prepared for the Asai Moonsault. Ripley caught her midair and slammed her face first on the apron. Sky countered a Samoan Drop from the top rope into a crucifix slam for a two-count. The challenger caught the champion midair again with a headbutt. Rhea quickly followed it up with a Razor’s Edge and a Shining Wizard for a nearfall. Ripley went for the German Suplex but Sky countered with a standing switch.
Ripley charged for a big boot, but Sky moved aside, leading to Rhea hitting Bianca. Ripley landed a Riptide but there was no referee to count. Belair and Ripley argued and got physical. Sky’s dropkick accidentally hit Bianca, and the match ended in a double disqualification. Post-match, Rhea delivered a Riptide to Iyo and a couple of Riptides to Belair. Ripley stood tall in the end with the Women’s World Championship in hand.
Winner: Iyo Sky retained via double DQ.
Grades: B+
Analysis: It was a solid segment to close out the show. The build to this match has been interesting recently. It looks like Ripley will get herself inserted into the match one way or the other. It has grown into one of the biggest feuds heading into WrestleMania 41.
Overall, it was an important episode of Monday Night Raw on the Road to WrestleMania 41. What are your thoughts on the WWE RAW March 31 Results?
