On June 3, WWE presented the weekly WWE Raw episode from Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The show featured a match between Damian Priest and Rey Mysterio. Liv Morgan explained her actions from last week. There were multiple matches on the show and much more. Let’s review everything that happened on Monday Night Raw. Let’s start WWE RAW June 3 Results, grades, and analysis.
Liv Morgan Addressed Her Actions
Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan made her way to the ring. Morgan welcomed everyone to the Liv Morgan Revenge Tour. She said that she did what no one could do, and that was taking out Rhea Ripley. Then she put Becky Lynch into an early retirement and won the Women’s World Championship at King and Queen of the Ring. On top of that, she kissed Dominik.
Dom arrived in the ring with his arm in a sling. The crowd didn’t let him speak most of the time. He said that Mami would kill Morgan. Liv said that Mami would kill Dom, too. She promised to make everything worth it. Liv said that Mysterio came last week not to help Becky but to come closer to her.
Morgan said that the Revenge Tour also included taking Dom from Ripley. Morgan backed Dom in the corner. Finn Balor ran down to the ring. He told Liv that neither Dom nor the Judgment Day has anything to do with her. Morgan left the ring for now, and she walked away after rubbing Dom’s hair.
Grades: B+
Analysis: An interesting segment to kick off the show. Liv Morgan kept triggering Dom, who seemed to be melting. Balor will be a major part of the upcoming story.
Sheamus vs Ludwig Kaiser
Kaiser attacked Sheamus on the entrance ramp. He threw wild punches until the officials put him off. In the match, Sheamus delivered a textbook vertical suplex. Kaiser chopped Sheamus a few times and targeted his knee. The Celtic Warrior hit a short-arm clothesline for some relief.
Kaiser continued to attack the injured knee on steel steps. Kaiser went for the 10 Beats of Bodhran, but Sheamus hit an elbow and landed a clothesline from the apron. Sheamus delivered a couple of clotheslines and a tilt-a-whirl power slam. Kaiser avoided a Celtic Cross and a Brogue Kick. He again targeted the knee with a knee breaker.
The referee seemed to stop the match, but Sheamus stopped him and told Kaiser to bring it. Kaiser slapped Sheamus in the face. Sheamus replied with a knee strike and prepared for the Brogue Kick. His knee gave out, and Kaiser rolled him for a two-count. Sheamus was fired up.
The Celtic Warrior delivered 13 Beats of Bodhran. He lifted Ludwig for a Super White Noise. Kaiser escaped and kicked the knees. Kaiser got the win with a roll-up pinfall.
Winner: Ludwig Kaiser
Grades: B
Analysis: It was a good match. Kaiser got the win, and it looks like his singles career is on the rise. In Particular, they are building Kaiser for a big match at Bash in Berlin.
Finn Balor vs Dragon Lee
Balor quickly applied an armbar. Lee fought back with a flying arm drag. Balor chopped the chest and targeted Lee’s midsection. Dragon got the upper hand with a running hurricannrana and a swift suicide dive. Back in the ring, Balor dominated for a while.
Lee bounced back with a German Suplex. He landed a running dropkick followed by a slingshot dropkick. JD McDonagh interfered. Lee avoided a clothesline and delivered a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. Carlito and McDonagh continued to interrupt.
Lee dove towards the outside to lay down Carlito and took out McDonagh with a kick. Back in the ring, Balor hit a Woo Dropkick and Coup De Grace for the victory. The attack on Lee continued after the match. Rey Mysterio and Braun Strowman made the save.
Winner: Finn Balor
Grades: B
Analysis: It was a fun match and a very necessary win for Finn Balor. Strowman is currently involved with Judgment Day until he gets into a major storyline.
Sami Zayn Addressed The Alpha Academy
The Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn arrived in the ring to a huge crowd ovation. Zayn said that he won the IC Title at WrestleMania but didn’t get enough time to celebrate because of Chad Gable. Sami said that it had gone very long, and he called out The Alpha Academy.
Otis, Tozawa, and Maxxine walked down to the ring. Dupri said that Gable thought Zayn was not worthy of his time. Gable sent a note to them that said that Gable could make a pathetic man a champion. Gable demanded a title shot, and Sami gave it to him. They’ll face each other at Clash at the Castle.
Sami told them to free themselves from Gable’s world. Chad ran through the crowd and attacked Sami from behind. He delivered a German Suplex and told Otis to attack Sami.
Gable slapped Otis. Tozawa stood up to Gable. The Master shoved him a few times. Maxxine joined the fray.
Gable told her to be on her knees and to beg him to stop it. She obliged. Gable then sent Maxxine and Tozawa out of the ring. Otis was furious and stood up to Gable. The crowd was on fire for the moment. Gable pushed Zayn onto Otis, who crashed through Maxxine and Tozawa on the apron.
Otis was conflicted and delivered the World’s Strongest Slam to Zayn. Gable raised the IC Title in the air. Otis checked on both Maxxine and Tozawa.
Grades: B+
Analysis: Very dramatic segment. Otis almost took out Gable. They are building it for a perfect moment. This story is looking bigger than the actual storyline for the IC Title between Sami Zayn and Chad Gable.
Bron Breakker vs Ricochet
Ricochet had taped rips displaying the effects of Bron’s attack last week. Ricochet slapped Bron and used his agility to deliver a handstand head-scissors takeover. Ricochet landed a dropkick. Breakker bounced back with a wicked clothesline, turning Ricochet inside and out. At ringside, Breakker slammed Ricochet’s ribs first into the ring post.
Ricochet delivered a DDT during the commercial. Back after the break, Ricochet hit a running shoulder attack and a springboard clothesline. He followed it up with a moonsault for a two-count. Bron avoided the 630, but Ricochet quickly recovered with a superkick and a recoil for a near fall.
Breakker caught Ricochet on the top turnbuckle and delivered a Frankensteiner. Bron followed it up with a spear for the win. Bron’s attack continued after the match was over. Ilja Dragunov saved Ricochet.
Winner: Bron Breakker
Grades: B
Analysis: It’s probably the longest of Bron’s main roster matches. They had a great chemistry together.
Kiana James vs Natalya
Kiana James faced Natalya in her in-ring debut on Raw. After a couple of waist-locks and roll-ups, James delivered a handspring running shoulder. Natalya replied with a Discus Clothesline. Nattie followed it up with a basement dropkick for a two-count. Natalya hit a German Suplex and went for a Sharpshooter. Kiana escaped and delivered the 401K for the win.
Winner: Kiana James
Grades: C
Analysis: Kiana James worked well in her debut match against the veteran Natalya. She can add a lot to the women’s division of the red brand.
Braun Strowman vs Carlito
Carlito’s dropkick didn’t bother Strowman, and the Monster delivered a shoulder tackle. Strowman took care of McDonagh and Balor on the apron. In the ring, Strowman slammed Carlito for the win.JD and Balor came in after the match, but Strowman ran over them with a shoulder tackle.
Dom tried to attack with a steel chair. Strowman punched the chair down. Liv Morgan came and stood in between Strowman and Dominik, saving Dom from the Monster. JD, Finn, and Carlito attacked Braun with the chair, targeting his knee. Liv approached Dom, but Balor prevented the interaction.
Winner: Braun Strowman
Grades: C
Analysis: A fun segment. The post-match angle was very interesting. Liv and Dom’s story is reaching heights with time.
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair vs Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark
Baszler and Belair started. Bianca delivered a scoop slam. Cargill got the tag, and they double-teamed Baszler. Jade hit a scoop slam as well. Stark blindly tagged in and landed a springboard dropkick. The champions hit stereo delayed Vertical Suplexes.
Jade hit a fallaway slam on Shayna. Bianca was tagged in, and she landed a dropkick followed by a vertical suplex. Belair delivered a backbreaker to Shayna and a spinebuster to Zoey, followed by a handspring moonsault for a near fall.
Belair hit a KOD on Stark. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn attacked the champions, disqualifying them. Shayna and Zoey also joined them in the attack.
Winners: Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair by DQ.
Grades: B-
Analysis: A fun match for the Women’s Tag Team Championships. Bianca and Jade have made the titles somewhat prestigious.
Jey Uso addressed his plans: Jey Uso entered through the crowd. He made it clear that he would be coming after the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Backstage: Iyo Sky attacked Lyra Valkyria.
AOP vs New Day
Woods landed a dropkick on Rezar. Akam and Rezar dominated Woods for a bit. Woods had an opening after a step-up enzuigiri. He went for the tag, but Kofi wasn’t there as he was confronting Karrion Kross. AOP took advantage and hit What a Rush on Woods for the victory.
Winners: AOP
Grades: C
Analysis: It was a short match. Kross is trying to create tensions within the New Day. It looks like we are nearing the time for the team to break up after a long time.
Rey Mysterio vs Damian Priest
The main event of the night was a non-title bout between WWE HOF Rey Mysterio and the World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest. The bell rang, and Mysterio tried to use his quickness. Priest hit a big boot and a Broken Arrow for a two-count.
Mysterio landed a head-scissors takeover and a springboard moonsault. Damian replied with a flat liner. Priest delivered a sidewalk slam for a two-count. Rey bounced back with a spinning heel kick and a step-up enzuigiri. Mysterio landed a seated senton and a springboard crossbody for a near fall.
Rey delivered the twisting satellite DDT for another two-count. Priest avoided the 619 and hit a vicious clothesline for a near fall. Mysterio avoided a Razor’s Edge and landed a super-flying Hurricanrana, followed by a 619 for a near fall.
Carlito interfered, but Dragon Lee came out. Balor and McDonagh came in to take the numbers advantage. Rey Mysterio wiped everyone out with a corkscrew plancha to the outside. Back inside, Priest hit a South of Heaven Chokeslam for the win.
After the match, Drew attacked Priest from behind and hit a Future Shock DDT. McIntyre held the World Heavyweight Championship for a bit. Judgment Day interfered. McIntyre clotheslined Balor down, hit a Glasgow Kiss on JD, and sent Carlito flying with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.
At ringside, McIntyre cleared the commentary table. Priest grabbed him and delivered a South of Heaven Chokeslam through the table. The show closed with Judgment Day standing tall.
Winner: Damian Priest
Grades: B+
Analysis: A fun match in the main event. Rey Mysterio was awesome in his element. The post-match angle brought a dominant display of Judgment Day.
Overall, it was a decent show. You can call it a Judgment Day night. They got revenge on Strowman, Balor got a singles victory, and they stood tall in the main event as well. Did you enjoy the Raw June 3 Results?
