Bhuvneshwar Kumar is a well-known Indian cricketer who became the fifth-highest wicket-taker of the IPL. He has played for teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad, Pune Warriors, and Mumbai Indians.

In his IPL career, Bhuvneshwar has taken 173 wickets in 164 matches, with an average of 26.63 and an economy rate of 7.43. He is a standout performer for Sunrisers Hyderabad, taking 142 wickets, including his best of 5/19 against Kings XI Punjab in 2017. Therefore, Bhuvneshwar is one of the Top 5 Highest Wicket-Takers in IPL.

Amit Mishra is a skilled Indian leg-spinner, playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since it began in 2008. He has served teams like Delhi Capitals, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Mumbai Indians.

Currently, he is serving Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). In his IPL career, Mishra has taken 173 wickets in 161 matches. His bowling average is about 23.87, with an economy rate of 7.38. No doubt he is a key player in his team’s success. 

One of Mishra’s best matches was in an IPL game against Deccan Chargers in 2008. He took 5 wickets for only 17 runs, showing his talent as a bowler. Therefore, Amit is one of the Top 5 Highest Wicket-Takers in IPL .

Piyush Chawla

Piyush Chawla, the Indian leg-spinner, always performed outstanding in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since it started in 2008. He started with Kings XI Punjab, then joined Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, and Mumbai Indians. His bowling skills are remarkable which makes him one of the Top 5 Highest Wicket-Takers in IPL.

In his first IPL season, when he was a part of Kings XI Punjab bought Chawla, taking 17 wickets. Due to this, his team made it to the semi-finals. He proved a lucky charm for Kings XI Punjab, taking 84 wickets in six seasons.  When he joined Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014, he played a key role in their victories, especially in the final.

Dwayne Bravo

Dwayne Bravo, the West Indian all-rounder, became leader of Top 5 Highest Wicket-Takers in IPL list during the 2022 season with Chennai Super Kings (CSK). 

Throughout his IPL journey, Bravo has been a standout player known for his talent for taking wickets. In 2013, he set an IPL record for most wickets in a season with 32 wickets and won the Purple Cap twice in 2015.

Despite his performances in IPL, Bravo did well in T20 cricket, boasting 574 wickets in 523 matches. DJ Bravo will do managing jobs for CSK in IPL 2024. IPL has been started on March 22, 2024, in which Chennai will face Bangalore at the MA. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal, the Indian leg-spinner, is considered a top wicket-taker in the IPL. 

He made his debut in 2013 for Mumbai Indians but in 2014 he joined RCB. Soon he became RCB’s top wicket-taker with 23 wickets. The next year, he got 21 wickets, becoming second highest wicket-taker.

In 2022, he joined Rajasthan Royals (RR) and played a big role in its journey to the final. He took 27 wickets in 17 matches. His outstanding performance made him the leader of Top 5 Highest Wicket-Takers in IPL list , exceeding Lasith Malinga’s record of 170 wickets.
