Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Gayle scored an unbeaten 175 runs from just 66 balls. It remains the very highest individual score in T20 cricket. His mark was reached in a mere thirty balls, the fastest in IPL and T20 history. Gayle hit an incredible seventeen sixes and thirteen boundaries. All the bowlers themselves were defenseless before it, and it was from the very first over.

What stunned the opposition was Gayle’s power, and RCB put up 263/5, the highest in IPL history. Pune Warriors succumbed to the embarrassing loss of 130 runs. More than a record-holding knock, it was a T20 master class. The shot redefined the scope of power-hitting, and this particular innings has become the most iconic one in the history of IPL.

    2.  Vaibhav Suryavanshi: 35 Balls

It was a day of record-breaking performance for Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The 14-year-old smashed a century off just 35 balls in an IPL match on April 28,2025 between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans in Jaipur. With this, he claimed the title of the fastest Indian and the youngest player ever to score a century in IPL.

The young sensation mesmerized the Sawai Mansingh Stadiuml in Jaipur, striking 11 fours and 7 sixes in destructive fashion to score 101 off 38 deliveries. His innings led the Royals to victory by 8 wickets. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was awarded Player of the Match.

After his seventh six, to mark his century, Suryavanshi left his helmet unbuckled, raised both arms above his head in acknowledgement, and basked in the glory of appreciation from the enthusiastic crowd. His teammates were in raptures; the lot raised their arms, clapped thunderous applause, and even high-fived each other to celebrate the moment with him.

    3. Yusuf Pathan: 37 Balls

On March 13, 2010, Yusuf Pathan played one of the most destructive innings in IPL history. He represented Rajasthan Royals against Mumbai Indians at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Pathan scored this breathtaking hundred at just 37 balls. This was the fastest century at the time in IPL history.

His innings had elements of both brute force and precision. He hit 9 fours and 8 sixes. Every bowler was attacked fearlessly. The crowd gasped with amazement at his clean hitting as it brought Rajasthan closer to what could have been a very difficult chase.

It seemed impossible chasing Rajasthan Royals’ target of 213. But Pathan’s great show brought them within a whisker of an improbable win. Unluckily, they fell short by just 4 runs. Pathan’s innings was, of course, memorable even if Rajasthan did not win. It proved to be match-winning in nature. It is still considered as one of the greatest T20 knocks under pressure in IPL history.

    4. David Miller – 38 Balls

It was full of power and calmness. He smashed 8 fours and 7 sixes and tormented the RCB battery. Punjab was completely lost while chasing a target not exceeding 191 runs, but with a counterattack from Miller, the history was changed.

His century came at just the right moment to bring KXIP back into the game and lead them to an unbelievable six-wicket win. The crowd exploded as he did it with flair at the end of the chase. Miller’s knock still lives as one of the most exuberant chases in IPL history-an all-time classic example of fearless batting under pressure.

    5. Travis Head – 39 Balls

On April 15, 2024, this batsman exhibited a magnificent performance for the Sunrisers Hyderabad against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.. He had a tremendous outing in 39 balls by striking a brilliant century. From the get-go, Head seemed to be in total command. His innings included 9 boundaries and 8 towering sixes. His aggressive batting provided a huge base score. Sunrisers Hyderabad made a record-high team score at 287/3.

Head’s knock comprised the combination of intent, power, and precision in the world of Cricket. He punished every loose ball, but also turned singles in between effectively. His century came at a fast pace and left the RCB bowlers demoralized.Such a knock sets the tone for SRH’s dominance in the game. It was not just power hitting, but a perfect showcase of modern T20 batting at its finest. Instantly, this knock went ahead to become an IPL classic.

    6. Priyansh Arya – 39 Balls

Priyansh Arya was to play his debut for Punjab Kings. He struck 7 boundaries and cleared the ropes 9 times with ease. He made his high-flying strikes put pressure on the CSK bowlers right from the beginning.

Punjab Kings managed to score a whopping 219/6 owing to Arya’s prowess. He was most definitely the king of the middle overs, and explosive shots brought his name into the limelight. In the chase, Chennai bowled well but fell 18 runs short. Arya’s innings, the game changer, will forever be termed as a now famous statement innings.

Abhishek’s innings proved to be a perfect concoction of timing and powerful strokes with 14 fours and 10 sixes that made the ball soar into the stands.

Chasing a seemingly impossible target of 215, Sunrisers Hyderabad created one of the most miraculous wins. Not only did they chase it down, but they also finished the match with a lot of balls to spare. It is the second-highest successful chase in IPL history. Abhishek’s performance stole the show, and his name etched into the record books. This knock was not merely about numbers to be crunched; it was about rewriting the IPL history in style. Quite an unforgettable innings.

    8. Will Jacks-41 Balls

A statement knock that showed his talent on the big stage. Jacks’ century must rank among the most exhilarating knocks of IPL 2024.

He hit 9 fours and 10 sixes at will, treating every bowler with utter disdain.

As they chased a target of 155, Gilchrist made it look far too easy. First over itself was attacked, and he never allowed any momentum to slip from his grip. His partner was a mere spectator at the other end while Gilchrist orchestrated this destruction. In just 12 overs, the Deccan Chargers chased down the target, winning by 10 wickets. This innings sealed its name in the hall of IPL folklore.

An astounding record of 229-run stand alongside his teammate became the fulcrum of the match. Together, they handed RCB a mighty score of 248/3. De Villiers exhibited a variety of classical strokes. This was a T20 cricketing lesson, forever engraved among the most unforgettable incidents in IPL history.
