The unavailability of foreign talent has become a drastic issue for all six PSL teams, with key players from England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and Afghanistan pulling out of the tournament. Fans are curious to know about player’s availability and unavailability in PSL 9 due to national duties. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) have implemented strict policies, making their players’ participation in the PSL increasingly challenging.
The SA20 league ended recently, and ILT20 will conclude on the day PSL begins; signing big overseas players is difficult. The PSL is facing a setback, and the league has become weakened. Karachi Kings
Karachi Kings fans are curious to know the player’s availability and unavailability in PSL 9 of their favorite franchise. Karachi Kings has serious blowouts due to foreign players’ unavailability. Many key players couldn’t join the franchise in PSL 09. The South African wrist-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi will miss the second half of the tournament as he has to leave for the SA domestic tournament.
English all-rounder Jamie Overton has withdrawn from the entire season of PSL 2024. Overton has been pulled out by his county, Surrey, to ensure he will be fresh and fit for the County Championship. The management is looking for replacements for both players.
The West Indian all-rounder, Keiron Pollard, will be partially available for the Kings. Zahid Mehmood has been selected as his replacement. Tim Seifert, New Zealand batter, will be available partially in PSL 09. KK have reserved their pick for Seifert as he will be available after the NZ vs AUS T20I series.

Lahore Qalandars
One of the most loved franchises, fans of Lahore Qalandars want to know the player’s availability and unavailability in PSL 9 of their favorite franchise. The withdrawals have weakened this year’s PSL tournament as Shai Hope and Rashid Khan are fully unavailable to Qalandars. Both the players opted to stay out of the entire tournament to rest. Rashid Khan wants to be fully fit for the IPL in April.
South Africa wants their centrally contracted players in the domestic competition starting March 08. Like Shamsi, Rassie Ven Dar Dussen will also return home; he will leave the LQ before March 06, missing out on the best part of the tournament.

Multan Sultans
Multan Sultan had a strong pace attack as IhsanUllah and Reece Topley were available in PSL 09. The Sultans got a double blow as their key pacers got injured. The English star, Reece Topley, got omitted from PSL due to injury and the non-issuance of NOC from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
The wicket-taking pacer IhsanUllah got injured in PSL 2023. He will also miss the entire tournament due to his long-standing elbow injury. His unavailability will be costly to the MS.

Hasaranga will leave the QG for the second half due to National duty. Akeal Hosein won’t be available to Quetta Gladiators due to non-issuance of NOC from the West Indies Board.

Peshawar Zalmi
Peshawar Zalmi has lost several overseas players. Starting with South African Fast Bowler Lungi Ngidi. He is not available for PSL 09 due to SA domestic competition. Waqar Salamkheil replaced Lungi Ngidi. One of the most consistent teams of PSL, Peshawar Zalmi’s player’s availability and unavailability in PSL 9 can be sad news for Zalmi fans. Khurram Shahzad will be partially available; Arshad Iqbal has been selected as his replacement by PZ.
Afghan star Naveen-ul-Haq opted to stay out of the entire tournament for rest, and Noor Ahmed isn’t available to PZ owing to his international commitments.
