    Michael Adams is a former American professional basketball player born on January 19, 1963, in Hartford, Connecticut. He stands at 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed 162 pounds during his playing career. Adams attended Hartford Public High School and played college basketball at Boston College from 1981 to 1985.

    Adams was drafted by the Sacramento Kings in the third round of the 1985 NBA draft. He played in the NBA for 11 seasons with the Kings, Washington Bullets, and Charlotte Hornets. Adams was a point guard known for his quickness, agility, and three-point shooting ability. He averaged 9.2 points and 6.4 assists per game throughout his NBA career. After his playing career, Adams went on to become a successful businessman and entrepreneur, owning several restaurants and real estate ventures. He was inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 2005.

    A point guard who stood 5 feet 10 inches tall and was taken by the Sacramento Kings with the 66th choice in the third round of the 1985 NBA draft, the player had previously excelled at Boston College. During his first season, he only managed to score 2.2 points on average. He was a member of the Bay State Bombardiers, a team that competed in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) during the 1985–1986 NCAA season. As well as being picked to the all-league and all-defensive second teams, he was also chosen as the National Basketball Association’s Rookie of the Year.

    Adams had his greatest season in 1990-1991, when he played for the Denver Nuggets and averaged 26.5 points per game (including a 54-point outburst in which he scored a career-high 9 3-pointers) and 10.5 assists per game. In his second season, he played for the Washington Bullets, but his best season was in 1990-1991. Following that breakout season, he was traded back to the Bullets, and it was during this time that he participated in his one and only NBA All-Star Game, which took place in 1992. In his first game back with the Bullets, he produced a career-high nine steals, along with 23 points and thirteen assists, in a victory over the Indiana Pacers by a score of 109-103.

    Adams, who was known for his “push shot,” retired from the National Basketball Association in 1996 while playing for the Charlotte Hornets. He had a career total of 9,621 points and 4,209 assists in the NBA, and he was once among the all-time league leaders in three-point field goals made and attempted. From January 28, 1988 to January 23, 1989, Adams had a record-setting streak of 79 consecutive games in which he made a three-point field goal. Stephen Curry is currently the one who holds the record.

    Adams has been a coach for the Richmond Rhythm of the International Basketball League, the Vancouver Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association, the Washington Mystics of the Women’s National Basketball Association, and the University of Maryland.

    In 2010, Adams became an assistant coach for the St. Bonaventure Bonnies. However, he resigned from his position after only six weeks due to other family obligations.
