    Mitchell James Richmond is a former American professional basketball player. who was born on June 30, 1965. He is currently serving as an assistant coach for the St. John’s Red Storm. Richmond plays basketball professionally.

    He received his education at Kansas State University as well as Moberly Area Community College. He was selected for the NBA All Star team six times  the All NBA team five times and he was already a former Rookie of the Year.

    Richmond finished with an average of 21.0 points and 3.5 assists per game throughout 976 NBA games. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame officially inducted Richmond into its ranks in the year 2014.

    To name only one of his nicknames “The Rock” After he had played for the Sacramento Kings for seven seasons the team decided to commemorate him by retiring his former number two jersey.

He was born on February 26, 1959, and is of Panamanian and American origin. His whole career was spent with the Dallas Mavericks and during that time he was selected to the All Star team four times.

    He completed his career with the Mavericks. Although Blackman was born in Panama City Panama he has been a resident of Brooklyn New York for the past eight years. This is despite the fact that he was born in Panama.
