    1. Oliver Miller

Oliver Miller, a renowned basketball player, was born on April 6, 1970. Oliver Miller was the heaviest player in NBA history, weighing 375 pounds with 6 ft 9 in height.

In contrast to the league’s biggest players, Miller enjoyed a nine-year NBA career.

Despite being severely overweight, Miller demonstrated glimpses of his brilliance, allowing him to stay in the NBA longer than expected.

Miller had an average of 7.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game in the NBA after six years.

    2. Sim Bhullar

Sim Bhullar was born on December 2, 1992. He is 7 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 360 pounds. At the NBA, Sim Bhullar made history when he became the first player of Indian descent to play in games. However, he was also one of the heaviest players in NBA history.

Sim weighed 360 pounds and was too slow for the NBA. Nonetheless, the Kings signed him and played him in three games during the 2014–2015 season.

He scored 0.7 points, grabbed 0.3 rebounds, and passed the ball 0.3 times per game on average.

    3. Shaquille O’Neal

Shaq had a much more successful basketball career than the other guys on this list. He was born on March 6, 1972. His height is 7 feet 1 inch and his weight is 325 pounds. It didn’t matter that he was putting on weight; he used his size and brute strength to get in the paint.

Shaq would go on to win four NBA titles, three Most Valuable Player awards in the Finals, 15 All-Star games, and the MVP award. He weighs 359 pounds.

    4. Eddy Curry

Eddy Anthony Curry is a prior American professional basketball player. He was born on December 5, 1982. His height is 7 ft 0 in and his weight is 295 pounds.

After dominating college basketball, the Bulls selected Eddy Curry with their first inclusive pick in the 2001 NBA Draft.

But due to a heart condition, the Bulls moved Curry to the Knicks. Curry showed potential in his first few seasons with the Knicks, averaging double figures, but he arrived at training camp in 2008 out of condition.

Curry’s career has now declined as a result of injuries and weight issues. However, he did win an NBA title with the Miami Heat in 2012.

    5. Mike Sweetney

Mike Sweetney was a good player from Georgetown. He was born October 25, 1982. His height is 6 feet 8 inches and he weighs 348 pounds.

As a result, the Knicks selected him with the ninth choice in the 2003 NBA Draft.

Sweetney’s skill was undeniable, but she struggled with weight.

The Knicks finally traded him to the Bulls. But after two seasons with the Bulls, Sweetney was compelled to take his talents elsewhere. Across four seasons, he averaged 6.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

    6. Thomas Hamilton

Thomas Hamilton was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 3, 1975.  He weighs 330 pounds and stands 7 feet, 2 inches tall. Thomas Hamilton spent only a short time in the NBA.

Hamilton appeared in 33 games across two seasons with the Boston Celtics and the Houston Rockets. Despite his impressive size at 7’2 and 310 pounds, training and injuries stopped him from pursuing a lengthier NBA career.

    7. Priest Lauderdale

Priest Lauderdale was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 31, 1973.  He weighs 330 pounds and stands 7 feet, 4 inches tall.

Because Dikembe Mutombo was leaving, the Atlanta Hawks had to get ready for life without him. That’s why they picked Priest Lauderdale with the 28th pick in the 1996 NBA Draft.

Unfortunately, Lauderdale’s stature proved to be an impediment, as he failed to match Mutumbo’s production on the court.

Lauderdale had a brief NBA career, playing two seasons for the Hawks and the Denver Nuggets.

    8. Robert Traylor

On February 1, 1977, Robert Traylor was born, and he passed away on May 11, 2011. His height is 6 feet 9 inches and his weight is 290 pounds.

Robert Traylor was drafted sixth overall by the Dallas Mavericks, but he never played like a top-10 NBA pick.

He played for seven years and averaged 4.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. His struggle to perform under the NBA’s spotlight could be related to his inability to stay in game shape.

    9. Kevin Duckworth

Kevin Duckworth was born on April 1, 1964, and died on August 25, 2008. He was 7 feet 0 inches tall and weighed 300 pounds.

Duckworth won the Most Improved Player Award and was selected to two All-Star teams.

However, when Duckworth struggled with his weight, his physical condition prohibited him from continuing his All-Star career.

    10. Tacko Fall

Tacko Fall was born on December 10, 1995, and stands 7 feet 6 inches tall. His weight is 311 pounds. Tacko Fall is one of the NBA’s tallest players, standing 7 feet 6 inches.

In addition, he’s one of the largest players, weighing 311 pounds.

While his size is encouraging, Fall’s lack of footwork and ability to move as a big man were cause for concern.

As a result, Fall was undrafted by the NBA. He did, however, play for the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers, but only played 6.2 minutes per game, averaging 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds.

    Wrapping up

We explored the NBA’s heaviest athletes with this list. Shaq, a massive player, and other, perhaps unexpected, guys have dominated the paint. We’ve covered these huge athletes’ unique problems and accomplishments, from their heights and ages to their professional struggles. The league thrives on size, ability, and smarts, not simply weight. As the NBA evolves, it will be interesting to see how these powerful players adapt and leave their mark.
