Giannis Antetokounmpo was born on December 6, 1994, in Athens, Greece, to Nigerian immigrants. Luka Dončić was born February 28, 1999, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. When he was seven years old, he began playing basketball, and when he was eight years old, he joined the young team of Union Olimpija. Luka was first exposed to the sport of basketball by his father, Slobodan, who was both a professional basketball player and a coach. Dončić stands at a height of 6 feet 7 inches (201 centimeters) and has a weight of 230 pounds (104 kilograms). Following his enrollment at Osnovna šola Mirana Jarca elementary school, he transferred to Sports Gymnasium Ljubljana to continue his education.
In the year 2012, Luka Dončić became a member of the Real Madrid youth team. He quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming an indispensable player for the senior club by the time he was 16 years old.
